Orkney Day Tour - We had a very good day with our guide, Dougie. Lots of information in a day. Only thing that would have made it better was if the weather had been a bit less windy.

Wonderful historic tour with some amazing countryside views - Fantastic day trip if you want to learn about the history of the Orkney Islands. The tour guide was local- had lived in Orkney his whole life- which meant he could tell us a lot about the folklore and history behind the sites we visited, as well as some interesting anecdotes. The tour is designed to line up perfectly with the ferry times from Scrabster and will wait if the ferry is delayed. It was amazing how well preserved sites like skara brae were. Thoroughly enjoyed the day trip

Excellent tour with knowledgeable guide. - Excellent tour of the major Neolithic sites with a knowledgeable and friendly guide (Iain). The pace was good, allowing enough time at each stop without feeling rushed and our driver, Mary, kept us entertained with stories and info about the Islands.

Good information and lots of laughs - We were shown around the Island by George who is very knowledgeable. He regaled us with stories about life on the islands as well as the historic places we visited. I had watched documentaries about the prehistoric ruins but actually being there and being given details not widely known was very good. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in prehistory.

Wonderful Day! - Can I only go as high as 5? What a wonderful day. But to start, we landed in Kirkwall only to find it was a long weekend and a major festival was going on. We could not get a taxi to go to the boat dock so had resigned ourself to this loss. On a chance, called the local office and a most kind employee answered late on a Sunday. He offered to pick us up at our hotel the next morning and take us to the harbor to join our trip at no cost - above the call of duty for sure. Then we joined Dougey as our tour guide for a great day. He also waited for some guests on the ferry which was very nice but made the time up with no issue. He was an excellent guide - history plus some of the local facts about living in the area. Can't say enough good things about this company, their staff and the visitor experience they provide.

Outstanding Day Tour of Orkney with Ian! - This was our first visit to Stromness, Orkney. We enjoyed a great day seeing the sights around Orkney. Our guide, Ian, did an outstanding job! He’s exceptionally knowledgeable about Orkney, from prehistory to present day , including current efforts and successes in environmental, sustainability, and energy infrastructure matters. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Our highest recommendation.
