A must do for delicious authentic food and time with a delightful Italian couple - What a special experience! This was a blend of authentic, delicious food; hands-on cooking; and joyful companionship. Gabriella and her husband treated us like dear friends from the moment we arrived. Their home was compact, but delightful. It has been in Gabriella’s family for generations. We first sat on the balcony surrounded by Gabriella’s potted herbs, enjoying the view and an aperitivo. We came inside when it was time to help Gabriella make the gnocchi. She guided us through the process and made us feel successful even though our gnocchi were nothing as beautiful as hers. When we sat down at the table, we enjoyed Italian wine with our four courses, each of which was delicious. The Tiramisu for dessert was unlike any we had ever had. It was flavorful and light, a traditional recipe. We left full and happy, with a list of area recommendations and a handful of recipes that Gabriella generously shared with us. We highly recommend this for a couple or friends. I can’t envision this as an experience kids would appreciate, unless it is an older kid who is really into cooking and food. To us the experience was worth every penny and then some.

Learning to make gnocchi - This was a small group, just us 4 in someone’s apartment. The hostess was quite friendly and very welcoming. Definitely worthwhile!

Italian friends - Gabriella and her husband were such terrific Italian hosts and chefs!! They welcomed us into their home, let us help make gonnioch, shared drinks and talked about Italy! It was such a relaxed and friendly time -well worth it!! Thanks to them - it made our trip better!

Just sharing stories with... - Just sharing stories with the couple who hosted was enough to make the dinner enjoyable! (Obviously the food was amazing) Gabrielle didn’t have us make typical foods most people probably have already tried on their trip, so it made it more enjoyable knowing we were eating and making something new!

A Wonderful Evening in Stresa - Our evening with Gabriella and her husband Fausto was absolutely wonderful! The cuisine was excellent, as advertised, bested only by our conversation about contemporary life in Italy and some excellent Chianti and Nebbiolo! Save a night when in Stresa for this unique dining experience and you're sure to enjoy it. Eccellente!

Wonderful evening on Lake Maggiore’s Shore - My wife and I booked this for a free evening we had in Stresa. The dinner exceeded our expectations. Gabriella and her husband were warm and inviting hosts. She is a great cook and clearly enjoys hosting. Pictured are the courses she prepared for dinner. And I can’t leave out the meat, cheese, olives and small sandwiches she prepared as an appetizer. She served Prosecco, and both red and white wines. The meal was finished off with a small glass of Marsala. We greatly appreciated the conversation and hospitality. Would book again if back in Stresa.
