Education as fun!! - Really excellent mix of acting, tutoring and video presentations. A really absorbing couple of hours, with a try at pen & quill work at the end.

Great experience - It’s to our surprise very educated and quite a great experience. Friendly to English speaker as it’s an English guided tour. The translated version in written wasn’t able to cover the full great history and stories though.

Loved it! - We had a great visit here and loved being able to see the different school rooms and try on some of the clothes. Not very busy when we went so we felt like we had the place to ourselves.

Exceptional guides - The guides here were exceptional, and the man teaching us all about Shakespeare’s classroom experience and how education worked at the time was stellar. The original writing desk from the time was an interesting find, and the Guildhall below, with its display, informative videos in two separate rooms, and perhaps most significantly, a long-lost religious wall painting, was amazing to see. As part of the combined ticket for Shakespeare’s Birthplace and New Place, the Classroom was one of the key value drivers.

Fantastic - This was one of the highlights of our 9-day tour through the South of England. The people who work there are very friendly and you can see that they enjoy sharing their stories with others. A nice perk is that you're being taught by Shakespeare's teacher and that guy does a great job. You can still dress up afterwards, write with a pen feather etc. Really worth taking time to do this.

Fascinating look into Shakespear’s education. - We learned so much about this incredible school which has been in operation for almost 600 years. The description of the building itself was extremely detailed and interesting. The most fascinating part was the description, by an actual teacher dressed as an instructor of the period, who provided a complete explanation of the educational system used to develop these boys into the leaders of society.

Really worth a visit - Our tickets were part of our Explorer Passes. Great guides who shared interesting information. Fascinating to see recent wall painting excavations! Part of the building is still used as a school. We had the opportunity to write with a feather and ink! Make sure you visit The Guildhall to see the remains of the wall paintings that have been recovered!

Shakespeare busts bold, creative and playful - These Shakespeare busts are such a clever mix of history and modern edge. Each one feels bold, playful, and unapologetically creative — turning a classic symbol into something fresh and expressive. The colours, the attitude, the contrast with the old setting — it’s pure genius and totally captivating.
