The Viking Museum - In the vivid exhibition you will meet the Vikings through movies, scenery, projections and sound effects as well as archaeological objects. Knowledgeable guides in Viking gear will answer all your questions and the many replicas let you explore life as a Viking with all your senses. You will learn about the Viking raids, journeys and mastery in ship building as well as the everyday life at the farm. The Norse mythology is present everywhere and here myth meets truth.
Ragnfrid’s saga is a Viking ride where you get to follow along on a trip to the Viking Age. The journey begins at Frösala Farm with Ragnfrid and her husband Harald. Then you proceed to go on a journey where you witness plundering in the west and slave trade in the east. With sounds, light and atmospheric environments you travel through the 11-minute journey that is told by Ragnfrid herself.

Awesome Viking Museum - This museum was a hit with the whole family. It's not very big but the interactivity with the staff is top notch. We had a gentlemen, dressed in Viking garb, talk to us about the history of Vikings and involved the audience in his presentation. They also had a Disney style ride in the basement that took you through a Viking story. It was really enjoyable and a must visit.

Great 👍🏽 - We enjoyed the experience and learned a lot during our visit to the museum. The film Vikings was a great series and one of the reason we decided to visit. The visual about King Harald at the end of the tour was great 😊

Viking Museum visit - Well worth the visit, guide was really informative and learned a great deal. There was a short sit in travel cart that took you through a short interactive Viking story too.

A must for Wickie fans 😁 - Greatly made, loving presentation of the circumstances and trade routes of the time. Very interesting explanations on a small guided tour. Definitely worth a visit despite the small exhibition compared to the VASA Museum.

What to do - Simple but very interesting museum
The short tour at the end is unexpected and closes the tour perfectly
Tasting of meads: staff at the top, Awesome tasting... just missing something to snack on

Lots of information in a small amount of space - This is an old-style museum with artifacts and panels to read, not very interactive. The leaders "tour" and person at display with artifacts were knowledgeable and shared this easily and friendly. We learned tons about Vikings (much of what we thought we knew was myth/legend).

Recommended - Recommended the viking museum over the vasa museum. The first is more faithful to Viking history. The ticket costs about € 15 per person, if you read the explanation for each exhibition you spend about 1 hour and a half

Caught between two stools - I was disappointed by the museum that seemed to fall between two stools. Initially the pitch appeared to a cultural museum, which was certainly my understanding of the website. For me this was insufficient, so less than the Jorvik museum in York for example which shows a Viking city very powerfully. Then it drifted into folklore with modern descriptions of the gods and goblins, which I didn't enjoy. The ride at the end was entertaining, although implicitly sexist of the henpecked husband going on a Viking quest at the insistence of his wife. I liked the geographical spread, showing where the Vikings travelled to. Interestingly it seems that the Swedish Vikings headed to Russia rather than Britain and I wonder if that more focused and niche museum might capture more interest. I can see the museum is playing to different audiences but not one currently to prioritise on a weekend to Stockholm.

Improving the organization - Amazing. With a cabin trolley this museum has no room for luggage... I think we could do a lot better.
