Södermalm boasts a rich history with picturesque streets and panoramic viewpoints over the city. From there, we’ll walk towards the historic center, Gamla Stan, home to some of Europe’s best-preserved medieval buildings. Explore narrow alleys and historic squares, including the Royal Palace and Stortorget. Following the seafront along Skeppsbron, enjoy views of the Baltic Sea. This historic port area has significant buildings and has been a departure point for many of Stockholm’s historic sea voyages. Our tour culminates with a boat ride to Djurgården, where we’ll visit Vasa Museum. Explore the impressive Vasa vessel and learn about its dramatic history. It sank in 1628 and was raised almost intact in 1961, offering a unique glimpse into 17th-century Sweden and maritime navigation.
