Discover the beauty of Stockholm’s city archipelago with an exhilarating 2-hour summer or 4-hour kayaking tour, ideal for both seasoned kayakers and novices. Join a knowledgeable guide and travel to one of Stockholm’s safest bays to master the art of kayaking. Set off on an exciting journey to explore the city’s central islands and charming bridges, enjoying the stunning views from the water. Keep an eye out for landmarks such as Stockholm City Hall, Riddarholmen Kyrka, Gamla Stan, Södermalm, and Långholmen.
- A booking confirmation and ‘Welcome Information’ will automatically be sent once the booking is complete. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact Stockholm Adventures directly.
- Minimum age is 12 years for 2h summer tour and 15 years for the 4h winter tour.
- Kayaking is easy to learn and does not require much physical strength, although a basic level of fitness is required.
- All participants must be able to swim.
- It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water, top with long sleeves, sun hat, sunglasses, rain/wind gear and spare dry clothes (in case you get wet).
- The tour will take place if there are at least 2 participants. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
- Maximum height: 1.95m.
- Maximum weight: 130 kg .
- This tour will take place in all weathers unless the guide deems it unsafe to do so.
- There are no toilets at our kayak dock, but you are welcome to come to our main location (Kungsbro Strand 21) during our office hours to use the toilet.
- CHECK IN time is 15 minutes prior to tour departure. Arriving at departure time or afterwards will likely result in you missing your tour.

kayak tour - Really great way to see the city! there is a lot one can see from the water that you would need days to see on land definitely recommend.

The best tour Ever - Our guide was amazing! His instructions were clear and delivered with a sense of humor. He stopped along the way to tell us tales of Stockholm history. Not dry mind you…did anyone know Absolute Vodka was started in Stockholm….we traveled on waterways that wooden boats from the 1920’s were moored at.
We even saw lots of wedding parties around the City Hall. Set up a tour and find out why.

Great way to see Stockholm for the first time! - Today proved to be an excellent day to kayak with this company. We had the opportunity to make it around the island and back, due to favourable conditions. Learned much about the city during the tour. It was a great way to see the city from its lakes and rivers!

Stockholm Kayak Tour - The trip was the perfect length of time for our family. My arms were just getting tired when we were done. We had experienced and new people in our group. The guide was so good at helping new people kayak. He paced the trip to match the mixed abilities. We learned a lot and enjoyed a beautiful morning on the water.

Seeing Stockholm from a whole new POV! - I had the best time kayaking through Stockholm! As a solo traveller, I was a little nervous at first, but I ended up sharing a kayak with one of the lovely guides and wow, what a treat! They were not only super knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly fun and easy to chat with.
Having already explored the city on foot, seeing Stockholm from the water was a completely fresh perspective. Gliding past historic buildings and under charming bridges gave me a whole new appreciation for the city’s beauty and history.
The experience felt very safe and well-organised, and I met some lovely fellow travellers along the way which was such a bonus when you're on your own. I also picked up some fascinating local insights and tips from the guides, who clearly love their city and know it inside out.
The kayaking itself was surprisingly relaxing and not too strenuous, making it perfect for all levels. If you're even thinking about booking this, do it! I’ll absolutely be doing it again next time I’m in Stockholm. Thanks guys!
