What to take for kayaking: appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather, a rain jacket, sandals, change of clothes if you get wet, sun protection, sunglasses or eyeglasses secured with straps, swimwear and towel if you wish to take a bath.

absolutely do the kayaking tour - we had such an amazing day out on the water! samuel, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and was sure to tell us all about the history of the archipelago. he was also sure to make sure we were all able to keep up and enjoy the kayaking itself-our group had all levels of kayaking experience and noone was left behind or struggling at all. the fika was fantastic. we pulled up onto a little island and all set up a lovely little picnic and explored for about an hour.
i can't recommend this tour highly enough-if i end up returning to vaxholm or stockholm i will absolutely be doing this tour again!

A must for the Vaxholm area! - We had an absolutely wonderful time on this tour!
Our guide Carl was so knowledgeable and friendly, we had a AMAZING time with him and he made us all feel very comfortable and safe. He felt like part of the group instantly. The tour was exquisite. We wish we saw more wildlife, but the scenery was beautiful despite it. Carl had lots of facts and history and was able to answer all of our questions.
We loved the Fika halfway through and felt like this was the highlight of our trip. We had varying skill levels in the group and we all felt comfortable and enjoyed ourselves. We HIGHLY recommend this tour service and highly recommend our favorite tour guide Carl. We will never forget this amazing experience.

Kayak and Fika - Carl was an excellent tour guide and the Fika was delicious. My husband and I went on the four hour kayaking and Fika excursion. The duration was perfect. We felt very comfortable and safe. Carl gives excellent instructions and the kayak tour, food, and history made it very enjoyable.

Great kayaking tour through the Stockholm Archipelago - We (a family of 5 with teenagers) had a great kayaking experience in the Archipelago. We booked the tour with lunch and were blessed with great weather and our guide Chris. He explained all about the islands, the sea, kayaking and made our trip a super experience.
The lunch was on a beautiful uninhabited island, all the things we needed (including a bbq) got loaded onto the kayaks!
Even though we are not experienced in kayaking the 14 km trip was absolutely doable.

Lovely day of kayaking! - Amazing time! Did the half-day kayak with Carl as our tour guide. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! The small group was great- everyone very friendly. Really enjoyed the stories Carl shared about life in Sweden! Pick-up and drop-off in Stockholm was easy. Directions were clear. Fika lunch was delicious! If you’re looking for a fun, well organized kayak tour, this is it! Thank you for the lovely experience!

Great way to see the archipelago - Phenomenal, phenomenal tour, and a highlight of our trip to Scandinavia. An amazing way to get a glimpse of the archipelago, a taste of Swedish culture, and a memory that will last. We did the half-day option - there was a full-day option as well - and while I of course felt that I wanted more because it was so enjoyable, it was a perfect length of time to get a true experience that mixed adventure and relaxing. I can't even name a particular highlight - every moment of it felt like a dream, from the rowing, to the conversations with our guide and group, to the delightful Fika that was way more than I expected. Do make sure you are prepared for the fact that rowing is definitely work - they give tips for beginners (we all had some limited historical experience), but it will be a struggle if you have never touched a paddle in your life or are fully out of shape!
I need to give a special shoutout to our tour guide, Jenny. Jenny was an astoundingly great tour guide - one of the best we've ever had, for any type of travel experience/tour. Her passion, humor, energy, knowledge, and genuine care to make sure our experiences great all really shined through. I'm sure we would have had fun either way, but Jenny MADE the tour as special as it was and we're so thankful for her!
In short, can't recommend the tour highly enough!

This tour was such a... - This tour was such a highlight of my trip! Carl was an exceptional guide - professional, kind, and made the whole experience both safe and fun. The kayaking route was stunning, and sharing a Swedish fika on a quiet island was such a memorable touch. I felt both adventurous and at peace. A perfect balance of nature, culture, and connection.

Great Family Activity - We had such a great time on the kayak outing. Our guide, Carl, was awesome - extremely knowledgeable and very chill. It helped that we had great weather, but we covered a lot of ground in a relaxing way and had a really great shore lunch with the group! I highly recommend this company.

Super half day in Kayaking - We loved our 4h sea kayak trip to the Stockholm archipelago. Our guide Carl was very professional: nice, considerate and interesting. We learned a lot about the local nature while learning kayaking. As a bonus, a delicious Fika. We recommend without reservation.
