Learned so much - Stephen was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Scottish history, and specifically the background of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. We left feeling like we had a much better understanding of that period of Scottish history. It was wonderful meeting Stephen, his wife, and their sweet new dog. Thank you again so much for having us!

A sacred experience, not just a tour - Steven doesn’t just welcome you to Stirling—he shares it from the heart, with reverence and deep connection to the land. His presence is warm, grounded, and inviting, making you feel like much more than a visitor. I came to Stirling to scatter my grandfather’s ashes—a sacred vow fulfilled. Steven’s tour became a central piece of that moment, offering history and much more not as trivia, but as living memory. His words, and his spirit all aligned with the deeper purpose of my journey. If you’re looking for something real—something authentic, that speaks to the soul beyond the stone of Old Stirling Bridge—Steven’s tour is exactly what you need. Thank you, Steven. You embody the spirit of Scotland and made my trip exponentially more meaningful.

Knowledgeable, personable and passionate. - Steven, Thank you so much for the tour this morning and for sending the photos, videos and information afterwards, but most of all thank you for your time. Your passion and knowledge for the history and for the area was clear from the first time you spoke and we are extremely grateful you were happy to share it with us. This would have been plenty, but being allowed to share your beloved dogs for the morning was the icing on top of the cake. Oatly is a lovely dog and we could tell Molly was too - our Brodie would have fitted right in!! We would have no problem at all recommending your tours and we wish you every success for the future. Historically Informative - 7 of us joined Steven covering the historical battle of Stirling Bridge and we all found it very informative. Thank you Steven for your heartfelt enthusiasm , and detailed information. We learnt much we didn’t know about the battle, the importance of an unsung hero Andrew De Moray, and that the English army had twice crossed the bridge & returned and on the 3rd attempt the Battle commenced. Very much anticipating our next meeting with Steven for the Bannockburn historical walk. We know it will also be stimulatingly informative. Well done & Thank you Steven. 👏👏

William Wallace and others - My wife and I decided to find a tour for the Battle of Stirling Bridge, and are we lucky we found Freedom Tour Today! Steven’s obvious passion for history clearly guides his career obligation to present the past. Although we could easily have walked the battlefield and bridge alone, Steven’s tour transcends the accepted, and sometimes simplified, version of history to include a variety of alternate theories and possible locations of the old wooden bridge which take into account new information. At the end of the tour, we felt informed, entertained, but most of all welcomed to Scotland
