Highlights
  • Stirling Castle - One of the most important and largest castles in Scottish history. Stirling Castle sits on top of a hill of volcanic rock above the town of Stirling.
  • Taste Perthshire - A great stop, restrooms and coffee shop, of course our main attraction is to hand feed our much loved ‘Highland Coos’.
  • Dalwhinnie Distillery - Dalwhinnie Distillery, famous for its single malt, is the highest distillery in Scotland at over 1000 feet above sea level.
  • Commando Monument - 90 mins away is The Commando Monument, a large three-figure bronze statue commemorating the service and sacrifice given by thousands of Allied troops during the Second World War, with Ben Nevis looming in the background.
  • Glenfinnan Viaduct - A 30-minute drive takes us to our main attraction.

Embrace the magical setting of this world-famous Harry Potter film location and witness the ‘Hogwarts Express’ steam train crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct.

It is our aim to arrive by 12:20pm, the Jacobite train can be best seen form the hill beyond the viaduct, it is a 25 min walk, with the train expected between 1:10 and 1:30pm

  • Fort William - Rising above all other mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis is the tallest and overshadows Fort William. We will take you to a vantage point where you will be able to take in the scenery and take in those captivating photos.

A 30-minute drive from the Viaduct.

  • Clachaig - Hagrids Hut, once sat in the Clachaig gulley, at the beginning of the Glencoe mountain range. Both the Prisoner of Azkaban and the Order of the Phoenix were filmed here.

Unfortunately, the hut is no longer here, but it is a short walk from where it once stood.

  • The Three Sisters - The Three Sisters of Glencoe - the most photographed place in Scotland - are three mountain peaks formed 420 million years ago by a super volcano, and the valley below was carved by glaciers over millions of years.

There is a hidden glen behind it that was used by the MacDonald clan to hide cattle stolen from their neighbors.

A 30-minute drive from Fort William.

  • Rannoch Moor - A 20-minute drive takes us to Rannoch moor, which is often referred to as the most desolate place in the UK, due to being the largest bog expanse in the British Isles. It was also used as the setting for the filming of scenes of Harry Potter Deathly Hallows.
  • Loch Tulla Viewpoint - A 5-minute drive takes us to Loch Tulla viewpoint encompasses everything that The Highlands have to offer, from rising mountains to lochs and pine forests.
  • Inveruglas - A great vantage point of Loch Lomond is the pyramid-shaped raised platform in Inveruglas. This is a good stop being both 45 minutes from Loch Tulla and 45 minutes from Glasgow, your final stop at your accommodation/hotel or airbnb

Excellent tour for family! - An amazing tour. The sites were beautiful, fun and Ayvin was very flexible getting us to all the sites but allowing us to enjoy the experience. Good conversation, knowledge of history and accommodating to kids as well as older family members!

The Best 12 Hour Tour of Scotland - Our driver/guide, George, was the absolute best!! There was a miscommunication on which “Leonardo” hotel we were staying at - and this saint of a man arrived in Edinburgh early in the morning (from Glasgow) and George checked each hotel to make sure he picked us up on time. I went to the lobby early at 8am and he was already there. And that was before the tour even started! George showed us as much of Scotland as possible in 12 hours. We will forever be grateful for his knowledge and love of his country and its history - and that he shared it all with us. We wanted to see some filming locations (Doune Castle - Monty Python & the Holy Grail - the French Taunter; Game of Thrones - Winterfell; and Outlander - Castle Leoche) and the Glenfinnan Viaduct, along with as many beautiful and historical locations as possible. George introduced us to: The Kelpies, Loch Lomand , The 3 Sisters: (Mountains named Faith, Hope, Charity) and the site of the Glencoe Massacre, the Glenfinnan Viaduct (Jacobite Train - and the Hogwarts Express) & the Highland Coos) . We will remember this day forever and are so so so grateful to George for his kindness and wisdom.

Wonderful! - Im a massive fan of the books and the movies. Despite recent controversies. The world still holds a special place in my heart. This trip helped me ge t back in touch with that special place from my childhood. Seeing the Harry Potter bridge was such a special thing!! We also got to see Winterfell which was amazing. The other Historical castles were special, apparently some were used for filming outlander as well as other movies. Shame the Real Hogwarts wasn't available :P
