The day begins with a visit to Paarl, where the stunning beauty of the Valley, the clear blue sky, the expansive vineyards, and the Pearl of Paarl perched high above the valley will captivate you. Paarl gained international attention when President Mandela was released from Groot Drakenstein prison (previously known as Victor Verster prison). A delightful wine tasting at a local estate is part of the experience.

From Paarl, the journey continues northwest to the charming village of Franschhoek, established in 1688 by French immigrants escaping the Huguenot religious persecution in Europe. A memorial in the town honors these early settlers who contributed to the development of wines favored by historical figures like Napoleon, Bismarck, and royalty such as Edward VII, the Prince of Wales. Here, a stop for lunch and another wine tasting at a local vineyard is planned.

The next destination is Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, where a final wine tasting will be enjoyed before returning to Cape Town.

• When more than one person is travelling – we require names and last names of all guests travelling (reason being if tour booking is made with one person and the hotel reservation is made under another, we will be informed by the hotel that there ais nobody by that name at the hotel which will result in delays and could cause the guests to miss the tour).
