Among the most unique are the Imperial Palm Trees, enormous water lilies (Victorias-Regias), and Brazilian Red Wood trees (Pau Brasil), which are endangered in the Atlantic Forest. The renowned greenhouse houses over 500 species of delicate orchids, all meticulously cared for. Following this, visit the Tijuca Atlantic Forest, the largest urban forest worldwide, and pause at the Chinese View Belvedere, offering breathtaking views of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Guanabara Bay, and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Note that car access to the Chinese viewpoint is restricted on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
On the return journey to the hotel, there will be a stop at Pepino Beach to observe the hang gliders.
