• Grumari - Undoubtedly Grumari beach is one of the most fascinating sand extensions in Rio de Janeiro.

Firtst of all, it is one of the most exclusive beaches in Rio. Since Grumari gets distant from most districts of Rio,it hardly gets crowded. Also, this is one of the largest beaches in Rio and you can simply pick the place you like the best, be it close to one of the numerous kiosks along the beach or some more isolated spot.

Finally, the nature we find in Grumari is imbelieveble. Islands and well-preserved-vegetation mountains border the landscape around the beach Can you picture this? Ocasionally, it’s possible to see animals such as aligators in their own natural habitat nearby Grumari.

• Parque Natural Municipal da Prainha - What about stop by a beach spotted inside an environmental reserve?

Well, Prainha beach will be the third stop of our tour. This beach stand out from the others not only for the incomparable natural beauty but for the beach goers going there.

There is a large number of hiking trails in this park with breathtaking views and laid-back energy. Prainha is the “surfers paradise” in Rio and the youthfull atmosphere down there is both contagious and vibrant.

A perfect tip for getting the energy back after our trail to Telegraph Rock in taking the typical brazilian Açai smoothie. It’s delicious!

Telegraph Rock, being away from most Rio districts, makes the private transportation to the starting point of the hike unique.

As Telegraph Rock is a highly sought-after hiking spot in Rio, we recommend you arrive early to catch the sunrise. Otherwise, you might have to wait for hours just to get that iconic cliff-edge photo (this isn’t an overstatement).

We’re flexible and can schedule the activity to begin at a time that works for you and your group.

In general, we rise at dawn and head to Telegraph Rock. After enjoying the sunrise and capturing exciting pictures on the cliff edge, we drive to two of Rio’s secluded beaches and bask in the surrounding verdant landscapes.

The return trip to the accommodation is also a highlight, as we drive along Rio’s scenic coastline.

To summarize, this activity includes a 2-hour hike (both ways) to Telegraph Rock, coupled with leisure time at two of Rio’s secluded beaches (Gumari and Prainha).
