During the drive, you will pass by Flamengo’s headquarters and learn about the four most renowned soccer clubs in Rio and the rivalries among Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense, and Vasco da Gama!
- Maracanã - The tour will continue to Maracanã, where there will be a lap around the stadium (external visit) and a brief stop in front of it to admire the grandeur of the venue that has hosted the World Cup Finals twice. Here, you can envision the rich history since its opening in 1950 when Brazil hosted its first World Cup. Once the largest stadium globally, it has been extensively used during the World Cups and recent Olympics and is frequently used for local games and concerts.
- Cosme Velho - The next stop is the Cosme Velho Train Station, leading to Rio’s major attraction: The Christ Redeemer Statue atop Corcovado Mountain.
- Parque Nacional da Tijuca - Upon reaching Cosme Velho Station, located at the base of Corcovado Mountain, guests will board the train with pre-reserved tickets to save time. The train will ascend through the lush Tijuca Rainforest to the 38m tall (125ft) Christ Redeemer Statue. The 20-minute ride offers a chance to fully appreciate the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, covering 7% of the city’s territory. Its breathtaking beauty alone makes the trip worthwhile.

- Corcovado - Christ the Redeemer - Upon arrival at the Statue, there are two options to reach the top: by a lift and then an escalator, or traditionally by climbing 222 steps. The reward is well worth the effort. Once at the top, the views and the majestic statue will make the climb worthwhile! Looking up, you will feel blessed and protected by this magnificent monument of Christ with open arms, now one of the New Seven Wonders of the World! From this vantage point, you can see most of the city, the entire south zone, and all the way to Niteroi. This unique view will leave you in awe. You will have approximately 40 minutes to explore all sides and views of Corcovado and take photos.
