Highlights
 • Ponte Rio–Niteroi - Pass by the Rio-Niteroi Bridge on your way to Buzios and catch up nice views from Guanabara bau and surrounding areas.
 • Rua das Pedras - Upon arrival in Búzios, the group is taken on a walk through cobbled streets rich with quaint charm, made famous by the French actress Brigitte Bardot.

Walk through the famous Rua das Pedras and check out famous stores, many souvenirs and good food. If you are not taking the boat ride, take your time to visit all of it, besides the amazing Buzios coastline.

 • Azeda Beach - If you choose the optional cruise, enjoy the Buzios coastline from a different perspective and on a different way. Azeda Beach is among the most sought after by tourists. The beach is small, charming and with calm and colorful sea. It is next to Azedinha. They are divided only by a strip of stone, and in Azedinha there is no construction to hide the look of the forest.

Each stop lasts around 30 minutes, and you can go to the beach instead of staying inside the schooner.

 • Joao Fernandes Beach - Surrounded by lodges, hotels and luxury condominiums, the beach has perfect calm waters for kayaking, as well as snorkeling beaches. It is no accident that it is an obligatory stop for the schooner trips.

The beach is a favorite of foreign tourists, who find good infrastructure of bars and restaurants serving snacks and dishes based on lobsters and shrimps. The kiosks stand on a plateau, but they often spread tables and chairs in the sand.

If you prefer to get away from the usual buzz of noise, walk to the right corner, a little quieter.

 • Tartaruga Beach - The beach has calm waters, and generally the warmest of the region, since it does not receive the cold currents of Antarctica. Take the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the shores at the far right.

Along the extensive strip of sand, kiosks for all tastes spread tables, chairs and sun loungers.

 • Orla Bardot Boardwalk - The Bardot shore is always colored by the fishing boats. A walk along the boardwalk, dotted with wooden decks, benches and gardens, features the bronze sculptures of famous visitors such as French actress Brigitte Bardot and former President Juscelino Kubitschek. Residents and illustrious workers - the fishermen - are also honored there, through a beautiful monument signed by the sculptor Christina Motta.

Great Day in Pretty Buzios - Had a great day trip to Buzios. Enjoyed the boat and swimming opportunity. Lunch was ok. Many lovely restaurants open up for the evening so if you have time 2-3 days in Buzios might give more time to relax and enjoy. The bus trip was long. Overall 5 hrs in Buzios and 4.5 hrs to get there and due to storm 5hrs to get back to Rio.

Beauty and the Beach - Visiting Buzios is a must! My husband and I enjoyed our visit via a tour headed by our guide Christina. She was friendly, professional and more than accomodating to all her guests throughout our trip. The boat excursion was amazing! We enjoyed snorkeling, swimming, samba dancing and slide on the boat which shoots you into the ocean! The lunch provided was amazing with many options. It was a great day ending with a beautiful sunset on the beach. Thank you Christina!

Wow nver knew about Buzio before - Had a great tour guide Marcia. I never heared of Buzios until I first search this site. It is a wonder place many beaches and the boat ride was amazing. My friend did the snorkeling and really enjoyed it. The trip is a highlight of the city. Going there once you realize there is so much to do and you can actually spend a week there. Now that I have been to Buzios I am planning to return to Brazil and stay an entire week in Buzio. A sort of hidden gem.

Excellent travel option, highly recommended - I really liked the beaches, the diving experience was very good, thanks to the fact that the camerawoman gave food to the fish, so they were all around, we couldn't go down on the beaches because they are very small, so I always went around the boat I needed more communication from the tourism agency and unlike another trip, the guide did not go on the boat with us and some other minor details, the food place is very good, the people very friendly, with a view of the port Incredible and the drinks and desserts at very affordable prices.

Buzios excursion - The three hour bus ride each was was a bit tedious. The boat ride was excellent. We stopped sveral times for swimming & snorkeling. After the boat ride we had a good buffet late lunch. This left just enough time to find the Brigit Bardot statue.

Let me start by clarifying that... -
Let me start by clarifying that Buzios itself was 5 star, but the organization of this tour was terrible. Firstly the tour bus broke down 15 minutes after pick up, and took more than an hour to fix. Then the guide decided to get another bus anyway.
But, the guide Hugo, was not communicative, did not tell us what was going on and only spoke Spanish. Every time he made an announcement during the trip, we had to ask him to translate to English. After all that, Buzios was scenic, with beautiful warm waters, although the beach itself is small.

Not worth it too long, the trip is... -
Not worth it too long, the trip is NOT 2 hours each way like they said. Picked up at 7am from hotel and spent 1 hour picking people up in a big tour bus. Then the actual trip was 4 hours. We arrived at Buzios past 12 and had lunch at an average place. The tour guide only said 2 sentences in the whole trip, did not explain anything or provide info about the place. The boat ride has horrible, ugly old boat, very crowded, not enough seats for everyboy or life jackets, it was more of a loud party boat than a cruze. Captain sailed the boat, while yelling through speakers entertaining the party, and Djing all at the same time. Then they left us at the main plaza in Buzios to walk around. Tour guide did not suggest anything to see or where to walk he said nothing. Buzios is an ok kind of hippie town with stores and restaurants but not much to see. Not worth the trip for me, would not recommend this tour.

Very disappointing and poor service - Our pick up point was supposed to be in Sheraton hotel , each email with voucher including night before the trip was confirming 7 am pick up time at the Sheraton , we arrived as directed 15 min prior pick up time , by 7.05 I asked concierge if they know where is our tour and was told that gray line never pick up from Sheraton . Main office located in Sheraton and concierge was able to contact your office and instead of manager handling the situation , your office sent me tour guy who yelled and scream at us after I showed him my voucher . He start throwing his hands at me and yelling that pick up point in the different hotel and he just a tour guy , then he said it’s no managers available abd told us to take a taxi to Hilton . By 8 am no one was available to pick us up at Hilton ether , I was calling and texting your customer service . No one answers the calls , only text and we’re keep telling me to wait , by 8.40 we finally got to the bus - this is 1 hr and 40 min later from original time ( meanwhile description of the your is 7 am plus 3 hr drive ) that what we were promised . I asked numerous times in my texts for contact info for the manager / answer was ok , but info was never sent to me and all my texts were ignored . I have a screen shot of each text with a time stamp . So instead of 10 am we arrived to the Buzios at 3 pm. Your guy was not prepared , road we closed , he said he wasn’t there for 20 years and doesn’t know anything . Ty our was supposed to be in English , he hardly spoke couple sentences in our language , the rest was in Portugal We paid $ 160.00 to enjoy the beach , sun , shopping . Instead we had fast not even good lunch and 20 min at the beach , got to the boat ride at 4.15 and after boat ride had exactly one hour to enjoy the town . Now it’s 11 pm , we still on the road back to Rio , another 1 he 30 min to go . No manager ever contacted us , nether I got his info from your reps . We wasted 8 hr on the road 7 am - 3 pm there , and 3 plus hours back This is the worse experience ever with your company , the worse customer service , not what we were promised and we thinking of canceling our next your with you and rebook it with another agency . We had a tour on 12/26 to crest redemption with other agency and your guy called and texted us on his way to pick us up , was not only on time but earlier . Here you changed pick up point , never even bother to call or text , sent confirmation text day prior with Sheraton as pick up point , yelled and scream at us , never provided with manager info and wasted beautiful sunny day traveling for 12 hours instead of promised day in paradise Very disappointing and poor service !!!

Terrible - This was terrible. The communication with people the boat was unprofessional. My group was told that we had to purchase extra scuba gear after we were on the boat and was too late. The DJ rarely translated what he was saying. They nickle and dime you for everything on the boat. Dont waste your time or money.
