Pedal, Party, and Paradise: A Cycleboat Adventure to Honeymoon Beach
When I heard about the Cycleboat Adventure to Honeymoon Beach, I knew I had to experience it for myself. With the promise of pedaling, partying, and pristine beaches, it was an adventure I couldn’t resist. Here’s how my day unfolded.
Setting Sail on a Cycleboat Adventure
The Caribbean sun was shining brightly as I made my way to the meeting spot for the Cycleboat Adventure. I had heard whispers of this unique experience—a boat, a bike, and a bar all rolled into one—and I couldn’t resist the allure of pedaling my way to Honeymoon Beach. As a former professional surfer, the ocean has always been my playground, and this adventure promised a new way to explore its beauty.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly faces of Captains Nick and Dave, who were ready to guide us on this laid-back excursion. The boat was buzzing with excitement, and the rum punch was already flowing. With a group of 14 fellow adventurers, we set off with the sound of party tunes filling the air. The cycle stations around the central bar added a fun twist to the journey, and I couldn’t help but join in the pedaling as we made our way across the sparkling waters.
Discovering Honeymoon Beach
As we approached Water Island, the sight of Honeymoon Beach took my breath away. The pristine white sand and crystal-clear waters were a sight to behold. With less than 60 people on the entire beach, it felt like our own private paradise. I wasted no time in diving into the inviting waters, swimming alongside sea turtles and soaking in the sun.
The beach offered plenty of shady spots under the palm trees, perfect for those looking to relax and unwind. I found myself a cozy spot and watched as Captain Dave waded into the water, serving rum punch to those of us who preferred to stay in the ocean. It was a delightful touch that added to the carefree vibe of the day.
The Journey Back
After a few hours of blissful relaxation, it was time to head back to the Charlotte Amalie waterfront. The journey back was just as lively as the ride out, with music playing and laughter echoing across the water. The cycleboat’s motor kicked in, allowing us to sit back and enjoy the ride as the sun began to set on the horizon.
Reflecting on the day, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience such a unique adventure. The combination of cycling, partying, and exploring the stunning Honeymoon Beach made for an unforgettable day. It’s experiences like these that remind me why I chose to live a life surrounded by the ocean, and I can’t wait to return to St. Thomas for another round of cycleboat fun.
