Do it - We had a great experience. The driver Lloyd was amazing and made the drive to and from the park a part of the tour. He stopped at fun roadside eating places for my wife and had great stories. The hike guide Margaret was amazing. She holds a comfortable pace and is such a pleasure to talk with. The Piton is beautiful and the hike is hard but definitely doable for active healthy people. I would recommend this group.

Worth every penny with Dannyboy and his PhD! - Dannyboy was brilliant! Amazing local knowledge of St Lucia and very open about everything, even where we could ask him about his wife and very impressive scar. It was worth every penny as we came from a cruise and had time to do it and be back in time for our all aboard time too! We did do the hike in 3 hours and the travel time took 90 minutes each way so please take that into account when booking. Great communication when booking and at the cruise terminal too. It ended up being a hike and a personal tour too so great value for money.

This hike is more like a... - This hike is more like a hike plus a scramble/climb. If you love hiking and the outdoors, it’s definitely for you. The driver was very friendly, and our guide was very good, getting us up to the top of the mountain. We were the only two on our tour (a bonus that you get your own group). Upon finishing (because if you start it you should get to the top of you physically can), we were greeted with some much deserved beers. This company did a great job, and from my research, it was the best value for this tour I could find overall. A guide is required for the trek, so booking here is a great day trip.

Highly recommend! - We drove to the mountain, stopping along the way for snacks and water. Our guides on the hike were excellent. They helped us with challenging areas and went at our desired pace. The hike was incredibly tough, but the views were amazingly beautiful, so it was worth it.

Gros Piton is a MUST when in St Lucia! - Gros Piton is truly a magical place. Not just the hike itself and the view… but the drive there, the village, the people, the tree roots along the path…I loved it there. The hike isn’t as challenging as the Petit Piton (which I had hiked a couple days before), but you do have to earn that view, it’s not an “easy” hike. The summit itself is a small space so I’m glad I started my hike at 7a. By the time I was coming down there were so many people going up that I could imagine it was pretty crowded up there. However, even though it’s a small space at the summit, it’s beautiful! You can get some really cool pics up there. My guide was Marva, who is great! She’s experienced, professional, very knowledgeable, and kind. I learned a lot about the island of St Lucia with Marva. I highly recommend her as your guide, she’s valid. Hit her up and enjoy! A definite challenge - The climb was harder then I thought so be aware. There is a lot of rocks to maneuver and bring plenty of water. The heat can get to you quickly so be aware!

Nice hiking but uncommitted guide - Overall it was a very good tour. We were picked up by a local guide (Danny boy) who was absolutely amazing! Throughout the transfer he told us things about Saint Lucia and the different towns and villages we passed by. After his recommendation we also added a visit to volcanic baths and a waterfall which was amazingly beautiful! The negative aspect of the experience was the guide, which was mandatory for the hike. She said basically nothing during the hike and was reluctant to answer questions or have any closer conversation. The hike took longer than expected, which was because the guide could not walk very fast. When we passed other guides along the way, we got the impression that most of them didn’t talk to their groups or tell us about the rainforest we walked in. The trail was very nice, but relatively demanding. In the second half, climbing over boulders is required. It will also be slippery if it rains. I recommend the hike, but one should not expect a guided tour on the way up, but only someone walking next to you.
