- Spanish Military Hospital Museum - Aviles Street in St. Augustine is the oldest street in the nation and was St. Augustine’s original artist district, dating back to the 1930s. The street also features some of St. Augustine’s oldest historical sites, providing a great backdrop for compositional tools such as leading lines, using foreground for depth, and experimenting with new camera angles.
- Father Miguel O’Reilly House Museum - Built during the first Spanish Period, the Father O’Reilly House Museum is one of the oldest structures in St. Augustine and is located in the oldest continuously settled neighborhood. Constructed in 1691 from tabby and coquina, the building was purchased by Father Miguel O’Reilly in 1785. Father Miguel, an Irish priest serving the Spanish crown, made this house a place of spirituality and education, preserving old values. Doorways, interesting gates, and narrow streets make for excellent subjects to improve compositional skills and camera functions.
- Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine - One of the most iconic 18th-century Spanish Renaissance buildings in Saint Augustine. The early Spanish mission-style Bell Wall and six-story Bell Tower are majestically illuminated in the morning light, set against the beautiful skyline.
- Lightner Museum - Arches, gardens, iron gates, Spanish architecture, and the 1880s World’s Largest Indoor Swimming Pool offer a plethora of photographic opportunities.

Great class. I hope to go back. - Patti opened my eyes to see shapes, lines and colors that I had been overlooking. I’m not only taking landscape photography now, but I’m also taking photos that are simple.

Fantastic Tour! I'm now a "cell phone photographer." - Patricia Bean's St. Augustine Historic District Photo Tour was just what I needed to get past the confusion of cellphone photography.
We started out by talking about what the camera can do and why. She allowed me time to try each feature as she was talking.
Then we went out to the Square and worked on composition. Although I had done photo in the "olden days" and came to this experience with prior knowledge, I learned a lot about how to make good pictures.
This tour was instrumental in getting me back into photography after a long hiatus. It was also super interesting due to Patricia's deep knowledge of St. Augustine and its history.
I highly recommend!

Learn expert photography tips! - Patricia, a professional photographer, was a warm and wonderful guide and teacher. I enjoyed my time with her and learned a lot about the functions on my smartphone camera. I got tons of amazing images that I can’t wait to share with family and friends! You will see quiet little streets with beautiful courtyards, windows, doorways and architecture with Patricia graciously helping you take the best artistic images possible. Enlightening and interesting photo walk! - Patricia Bean was very knowledgeable about the history of Saint Augustine and worked with me on composition, which was extremely helpful in improving my photography skills. Informative Photo Tour of St Augustine - Patricia is a great teacher! Highly recommend taking her tour whether you’re a tourist or a local. I learned how to use my camera better and basic photography principles. She’s great at tailoring her tours to individual needs, which I appreciated. Her knowledge of the city is almost as deep as her knowledge of photography; so I learned a lot doing a history and photo tour together. I’m looking forward to the release of her book and taking more tours with her in the future 📸

Beautiful location, okay tour - The tour provider was difficult to communicate with at the time of the tour start. The history was interesting and some good tips but it was too slow and not well organized. Despite some beautiful opportunities for photos, we quickly became disengaged. She was inflexible in her style and ignored most of the group. I’m sure the tour is very dependent on the guide, but our experience was moderate.
