Highlights
  • Castillo de San Marcos National Monument - See the oldest and most important building in the Ancient City. Hear why it has defined St. Augustine since 1695.
  • National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios - This sacred site’s importance is difficult to overstate. It is the first Franciscan mission in the USA, as well as the oldest shrine to the Virgin Mary in the country. See the beautiful grounds and hear the vast history.
  • Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park - Where the Spanish originally landed at the city’s founding in 1565. See statues of Ponce de Leon, Don Pedro Menedez, and over 60 resident peafowl.
  • Plaza de la Constitucion - The geographic center of the colonial city first appeared on the historic town plan in 1587. Surrounded by the most important public buildings in the city, from this vantage point see America’s Oldest settlement and its historic cathedral, Governor’s House, public market, and much more.
  • Lightner Museum - The Lightner Museum, housed in the historic Hotel Alcazar along with St. Augustine City Hall, gives us our base in the Flagler Alameda, the portion of town known as our Guilded Age square. See the myriad contributions bestowed on our fair city by the father of modern Florida. From here we also explore Flagler College and the Casa Monica Hotel.
  • Villa Zorayda Museum - The eccentric home of Franklin Smith, a contemporary of Henry Flagler, provides a glimpse into St. Augustine’s opulent past as a luxury vacation destination. Modeled after Spain’s Alhambra Castle, this building adds whimsical quirk to the city.
  • Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center - Explore St. Augustine’s rich Civil Rights history. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. spent valuable time in Lincolnville, the city’s historically segregated portion, during 1964. Hear the events that lead to to and followed that storied visit.
