I went on this tour... - I went on this tour yesterday with my family. We all had a great time! Mahesh was our tour guide and Devaraju was our driver. Both of them did a great job taking us around Mysore and showing us all of the amazing sights!

Highly recommend - My guide was excellent. The sites were amazing. I only had a short time to explore India after a work trip.... this was a great way to get out of the city and see some sites. it was a long day but well worth it. Initially I was a little concerned being a solo female and the only person on the tour..... but there was absolutely nothing to worry about. I highly recommend this trip, particularly if you only have a short stay in Bangalore. It was a long day but a great day!

Excellent private tour - Great tour, we had a new guide at each palace, the driver also talked about the sights along the way. The tour program could be slightly adjusted if desired. It was great, really enjoyed it.

Fantastic trip to Mysore with Mohan and Mahesh - The today's trip to Somnathpur and Mysore with our driver Mohan and the local guide Mahesh was very nice, comfortable and interesting. Mohan picked up us at 7:30 at the hotel and we had a very good 3 hours drive in his comfortable car to Somnathpur, he told us some interesting things about the Indian agriculture and regional vegetables while we saw many sugar cran fields and harvest cars. In Somnathpur our guide Mahesh joined us in the car. He told us many interesting things while guiding us through the temple and afterwards through Mysore Palace, Market and Church. In-between we had a perfect lunch with both, eating Indian foods in the Om Shanthi restaurant in Mysore. We liked this trip very much and will recommend it to our friends. Especially Mohan and Mahesh are very good and experienced guides. Thank you so much for that interesting day.

Great Tour - Great trip - covering Mysore Palace, the market, and Tippu Sultan's Palace. Our driver/guide Divakar Reddy was excellent. Explaining the history, coordinating with locally approved guides and taking us to RRR restaurant to eat off banana leaves, sitting with us to explain the food and eating with us. Great personal experience. Safe driving too! We were in great hands.

Fantastic insight into the history of South India - Balaji Naidu, a very friendly and safe driver who organized everything perfectly, accompanied me through the day. At the palaces I was expected by guides who imparted their extensive and interesting knowledge of these sights. At the other stops Balaji accompanied me and explained everything to me excellently. I was particularly impressed by the visit to the temple ! All in all, an extremely interesting and perfectly organized day, which I can recommend without restriction.

Awesome day tour of Mysore - I booked three days of tours during a recent holiday in Bangalore, this was a full-day trip from there. I had the same guide, Jay, who was just fantastic. Local and very knowledgeable guides met us at both the Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace and the Mysore Palace while Jay handled the remaining sites. There are fantastic mural paintings at at the Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, and teh Duke of Wellington even lived there for a period - really! Colnel Bailey's Dungeon is a little macarbe, but then no one said history was always pretty. Mysore Palace is a absolutely breathtaking. When I was there (in early October), the Dasara festival was on, so, although the vistas of the palace were largely obscured by temporary seating structures for the festival, I did get to see the elephants. If you have the time, I would recommend an overnight in Mysore, so you can see the palace illuminated at night. I didn't, but thats all the more reason to return some day. One of the best tours I have ever taken in India, with amazingly friendly, knowledgeable and courteous guides and driver. FUN FACT, while Bangalore is now the economic and political center of the region, it was a relative backwater in the Kingdom of Mysore until it became capital post-Independence. So if the Raj-era history is your interest, Mysore is where you need to spend at least a day or two.
