Highlight of our trip - The safari in Yala was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. We had to get up quite early, but it was absolutely worth it as we were the first ones in the park. Our guide/driver gave us some explanations. Once in the park, we immediately saw a lot of buffaloes, peacocks, wild boars, and elephants. After 2 hours, I had almost lost hope of spotting a leopard, as we were told that they are easiest to see early in the morning. Nothing could have been further from the truth: not much later, we first saw a leopard with her two cubs and about an hour later we saw another leopard just resting on the rocks. After that, we saw more of the other animals, as well as monkeys, boar and all kinds of birds. A great experience! Tip: don’t get the full day safari. I heard from a lot of people it’s not worth it, you just keep seeing the same animals.

Fantastic safari with a great driver - We had a fantastic experience with this safari tour. Driver is very knowledgeable and took us to all the good spots so it did not feel crowded with other jeeps. We saw many animals, including leopards, elephants, crokodiles, jackals, monkeys and many beatiful birds. The safari included a lovely breakfast with local food, it was very good. We really recommend this safari tour if you want a great experience in Yala national park!

Great experience with a knowledgeable guide - We booked a half day morning Safari and were picked up right on time at 4:30 from our hotel. After collecting some other participants, we drove to one of the entrances to the national park (first in line at the gate). Our guide Sudu explained the plan for the day and gave some background to the park. He also gave us 2 options: 1) be one of the jeeps that communicates via cell phones to ‚chase‘ down animals or 2) drive through the park and take our chance Luckily all participants agreed to go with option 2 (If you want a near 100% chance of laying eyes on an animal, go to a zoo and not a safari!) Sudu spotted and pointed out many different animals and we were provided with plenty of water and a lovely Sri Lankan breakfast. The roads through the park were incredibly bumpy - made worse I assume By the rains that happened a week before our safari. Sudu manoeuvred them expertly! We were not fortunate enough to spot a leopard or sloth bear but the other animals more than made up for that.

Amazing safari experience - We had a fantastic safari experience with Ig. We saw leopards, elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo, a jungle fowl and many other animals and birds. Some of this is luck (we were blessed with a fine dry day) and the rest is the spotting skills of the driver. Ig was incredibly good at it! We were also provided with a lovely breakfast which helped to ease the pain of getting up at 4.30am.

Yala Leopard Safari - We were among the first at the entrance to Yala National Park in the morning and were able to see a leopard and a bear. The driver guide drove carefully and showed and explained many other animals.

10/10 would recommend - Amazing safari, would definitely recommend with this company! Both the driver and the guide did an amazing job at making sure we saw plenty of wildlife, including a leopard. We were one of the first in the park, and at times we felt like we had the place to ourselves.

Super morning safari - The safari was really great! We were picked up from the hotel at 4:30 am sharp and were one of the first jeeps in the park! (Important, as there are a lot of jeeps waiting to get in in the morning). Our guide was not only very knowledgeable but also seemed to be one of the most experienced in dealing with the other jeep guides! Aside from the fact that we were able to observe not only a leopard, but countless species of birds, reptiles and peacocks, we were even lucky enough to meet a whole family of elephants including a baby. So it was a great experience and a tour that we can absolutely recommend!

Safari race - If you want to see quickly many animals, this is the tour for you. If you want more, then no. Yes, we saw Leopards (for 5 seconds) but.. tour should have started at 4.30 but we were picked up at 5. turns out the park only allows access at 6. After an initial dangerous rally to get to the spot were the leopard was spotted (the people sitting at the back hit theor had to the roof), we stayed one hour waiting with another 10 jeeps to wait if they come out again. eventually we moved on. The whole safari felt like a bit of a race through the park. Stopping very little when bigger animals were spotted. Birds were not really covered much. also no further explanation, except the name of the species were provided. We definitely saw many animals but didn't really stop to enjoy and observe them. It felt like take a picture and go. Breakfast was served as promised but there was only one binocular for the 6 people. We had a much better experience in Minneriya, spending time in observing the animals and their behaviour.
