Honeymoon food tour success - Mijo went above and beyond our expectations for the food tour. It ended up just being my husband and I on the tour so it was a private tour for us ! Mijo was oh so friendly and was a perfect mix of informative tour guide but also yet a chill and interesting, chatty friend. We loved our time with him! Food was filling and we left with perfectly full bellies ;)

Great Vegan Walking Tour - My partner decided to surprise me with a Vegan walking tour to start my birthday week in Split. This was a fantastic way to start the week and I loved exploring all of the Vegan destinations. Mijo was super lovely and friendly and I would recommend him highly. He was very knowledgable about Split and learning about the history from a local was fantastic. Thanks again Mijo!

A Priceless Experience with a Fabulous Guide - My partner and I opted to do Mijo's vegan food tour on our first evening in Split - hoping to get our bearings of the city and all the good food stops to frequent throughout our stay. We got so much more than we bargained for! Mijo is a fabulous, attentive and interesting guide. He took us to four outstanding food stops and pointed out several others along the way. Between stops he discussed the history of Croatia and the Dalmatian district, took us to some hidden gems and took some lovely pictures. He also followed up with an email with further recommendations, supermarket information, food delivery advice and other suggested sites to visit. I couldn't recommend this enough! (Note - I am flexitarian and my partner is vegan)

Make sure you do this tour! - Had the best 3 hours on this tour last week. Having arrived in Split the day before we didn’t really know our way around and this was a fabulous way to get to know all the back alleys as well as the main historical layout of the city. Mijo was a brilliant guide and pointed out things that we would have overlooked. We were especially impressed by the ancient Egyptian sphinx in the main square of the Diocletian palace and the ancient Roman paving slabs we walked on! All the food stops were amazing as well, my highlight was the vegan dark chocolate ice cream oh! And the coffee was superb! This is a really special tour, please book on to it! Thank you for a memorable 3 hours 🙏

Mijo is the best! - We’ve had so much fun, Mijo made this food tour memorable: tasty food, very nice locations and his storytelling was perfect. I suggest this tour to everybody not just if you’re vegan. We discovered soooo many delicious places, not just the ones where we stop to eat, with stories about the city and the culture. We loved it so much that at the end of the tour we booked for the day after even the walking tour. Don’t miss this! Thanks Mijo:) Michele

Great Guide and Great Food - Give it a try! - Throughly enjoyed this outing. Mijo was a wonderful guide - very friendly and knowledgeable - and the food was great. We even went back to one of the locations for dinner the next night. I would definitely recommend this tour, even if you aren't vegan. My friend who went with me isn't vegan, and she raved about the food too - especially the vegan chocolate gelato!

Support vegan pioneer in Split! - This is an awesome mix of food, history and personal stories exchange. Although Croatia is probably not the country anyone would think of when talking about ‘vegan’, it was Mijo’s personal stories as a vegan and a tour guide in Split made the tour interesting. Mijo nicely arranged 4 stops (2 savoury, 2 sweet) where we actually ate, there were also plenty of dining and cooking suggestions in Split and Croatia along the way. There was a lot of information but not overwhelming, it was all ‘practical’ and relatable. The small group size also allowed a fruitful vegan cultural exchange.

First class Tour operator who is good fun and full of local information & History. Highly recommended. - This was an excellent tour. We learned so much from Mijo. He is so pleasant and easy to talk to, full of histrionical facts and local knowledge. We had already walked the city but it is so different when you have a guide. Great recommendations on where to eat , drink coffee. A local guide who happens to be Vegan and had great tips on the local food for everyone. We both enjoy the tour very much. We were lucky as it was just the two of us on tour as out of season. Fantastic value.

Learn to eat and shop like a local vegan - We’d thoroughly enjoyed our first walking tour of Split with Mijo, so booked onto this vegan food tour, hoping to further deepen our gastronomic knowledge of the city. And what a wonderful experience it was, as an enlightening education of Split’s veggie food scene, mixed with Croatian history and culture. Our group was made up of a vegetarian and three flexitarians; as a California resident, I was excited to see not just the availability of vegan food choices, but also the burgeoning presence of the health food culture that I know and love. It felt like a meeting of the old and new culinary generations, and Mijo painted a picture of how Split is embracing both in equal measures. Go with an open mind and a comfortable pair of shoes, and if possible, make sure to book it on the early end of your time in Split, so that you can benefit from all the acquired knowledge and insider tips.
