Because its great acoustics, frequently is used by various klapa, an “a capella” singing groups that preserve Dalmatian style of singing, singing that is protected as world heritage by UNESCO.

Avoid morning crowds and join us on this late afternoon 1.5-hour tour, where in a small group of participants you will see traces of Rome away from Rome. We will discover together how the palace of a Roman Emperor called Diocletian, became a heart of today’s Split, the second largest city in Croatia.

We will explore the remains of Diocletian’s Palace, walk through its architectural history and visit different areas of the complex and its surroundings, known today as Old Town of Split. While wandering through its narrow streets, you will also see the most important monuments that Split has to offer, like Gregory of Nin with its famous golden toe, and the father of Croatian literature called Marko Marulić. At the end you will get tips for further exploration of Split and its surroundings, if wanted.

Next to the sign with big red letters that spells out the city name - SPLIT, behind the bus terminal for tourist buses. When you turn your back to the restaurant called Terminal F, you will see the southeast tower of Diocletian's palace and entrance into the parking lot at Riva promenade.

Tour with Anita - We had very nice time experiecing Split with Anita. We have learnt a lot of about Diocletian's palace and Diocletian. I would deffinitely reccomend Anita to everyone as she has a lot of knowlege and was very friendly and helpfull.
