Great Overview - If you’re looking for a historical walking tour of Old Town Split, this is it. Our local guide Marta really brought the palace and its inhabitants to life sharing centuries of facts and stories as we walked. My husband is not much of a history buff, and even he really enjoyed it. Great overview!

Informative but also misinformative. - The tour guide was excellent, knowledgable, humorous and navigated us through very busy and narrow streets very well. However, we were late for the tour because the Viator app told us one meeting place and the WhatsApp message I had from what was obviously a sub-contracted tour company, told us something totally different. We found the lady in the meeting place from the Viator app very rude and unhelpful. We managed to find our own way to the tour and caught them up, no thanks to the app or the tour company. Thankfully, we only missed 5 mins and the tour guide soon made us forget our frustration.

Great tour with Ivan - Interesting tour with a knowledgeable tour guide. We could learn a bunch about Split’s history and development. The tour could definitely be longer.

Inflexible to Thunder Storms - We never took the tour. There was lightening and thunder at 10:30 and they were not able to accommodate us after the remain left at noon. Too bad.

Wouldn’t recommend sadly - If you do this tour via Sugaman tours then cancel!! It’s not a walking tour of the old city as per the description and does not include Marjan forest. It is ONLY a tour of some parts the palace. When we asked why we weren’t doing the other parts as advertised on the tour itinerary booking neither the Sugaman tours employee nor the guide were helpful (each stating we need to ask the other!). Karla our guide was friendly but a little dry. The information was very repetitive and too much information was offered haphazardly, making it very confusing and as if it was being regurgitated. Really sad as we were really excited on our first day to find out about the history and culture. So we finished the tour at 730pm and walked up Marjan forest for sunset ourselves! The highlight!!
