Love it, love it, love it! - Tldr: Yes, it's worth the price!
So, this cooking class is bit on the expensive side so we were a bit wary but oh man did it deliver! The market tour, that also included a short history lesson about the Split old town, was nice and I loved seeing the markets and hearing about them. Before class, there were these small appetizers and local brandy to sample which was nice and tasty little touch that set our spirits high. And the class itself... easily 10+/10! It was cooking from the scratch and you learn to fillet a fish, to take a squid apart, all these technical skills and it's very hands-on that even a total knife-dummy like me could make a lovely fillet! The recipes were easy enough to follow and the food was plentiful and tasty, even better than some of the restaurants we have tried! And wine? If you like it, you can drink it! We've been to several cooking classes and they have all been good, but this is just easily one of the top experiences.

It was a very polite and very good cooking class! I really recommend it. The chef in particular uses Japanese knives, which is recommended by Japan!, I'm glad I learned so much 😊 - I can eat a lot, talk a lot and study a lot!
I didn't know what Croatian food was like, so when I actually made it and ate it, it was really delicious and a good experience! Thank you.

This experience was... - This experience was great. It was really easy to meet with with the chef, walked around on the way to the school and got some history and seeing the fresh food available.
Zeljko took the time to answer all my questions and work with me while cooking. It was an overall great experience.
Highly recommend!

Fun Experience! Chef Were Lovely and Food Was DELICIOUS! - I took the Split Cooking Class with my two teenage boys and we had the best time! My parents gifted this to us because they did it the year prior and enjoyed it so much.
Our chefs, Ivana and Bruna, were lovely. They took us on a stroll through the fresh market to pick up vegetables and fruits for our meal. We also walked through the fresh fish market. I loved how everything we used was fresh that day from the market.
Once back at the culinary school, we were given delicious appetizers, coffee and tastes of their local homemade liquors while they prepared the kitchen for cooking.
We drank local wine while we learned how to prepare & cook multiple different kinds of fish, homemade bread, prawn risotto, multiple side dishes/salads and dessert. The two chefs walked us through all the steps to prepare each dish while they explained each process and why the processes are in place.
The food was incredible and enough to feed an army! I had two entire plates! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Split.

Burek workshop in Split - We came with my spouse to learn how to make bureks and the experience was really great! In addition to gaining local cooking skills we had a great time with the chef and if we return to Split we will not hesitate to start again 😀

A Mediterranean Feast to Remember! - I took this Split Cooking Class on July 4th, 2025, and it was truly one of the highlights of my time in Croatia! Chefs Ivana and Bruna were warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience both fun and educational. There were 9 of us in total (all Americans—myself, a family from Chicago, and another from Virginia), and we instantly bonded over our love for food.
We prepared an incredible variety of dishes: sea bream and branzino, grilled vegetables, seafood risotto, fresh pasta, salad, green beans with potatoes, homemade bread, baked fish, ceviche, and even a lovely custard for dessert. It was a full-on Mediterranean feast! Before we started cooking, we enjoyed a tasting of excellent local white wines, paired with prosciutto, cheese, and olives—absolutely delicious.
The class was held in a professional culinary academy kitchen that was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to work together and learn. Best of all, we got to enjoy the fruits of our labor together at the end. We started around 5:00 pm and wrapped up by 8:30 pm, full of food and great memories.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Split who wants a hands-on culinary experience and a taste of authentic Dalmatian flavors!

Best experience in Split! - Our day started with a visit to the Green and Fish markets to select the freshest ingredients for our dishes. We walked back to their culinary center which was state-of-the-art and we put on our cooking aprons and got to work! This was very hands-on and we learned so many new techniques. Our favorite dishes we prepared were the shrimp risotto with homemade stock, the salt-crusted fish, and the Swiss chard/potato dish. We were served delicious Croatian Wine and enjoyed our huge feast at the end of the class. This experience was so much fun and highly recommend this while in Split!

Educational and fun!! - This was an exceptional experience. Our chef Marjin was very knowledgeable and helpful while teaching us. Going to the farmers market and fish market to procure the ingredients for our meal added an interesting layer to the fun. We made a huge feast and had a wonderful meal at the end! Wonderful choice for an interesting experience.

A fun, enjoyable and educational eating experience! - An outstanding experience; one of the highlights of our two-week trip to the region. I can't say enough good things about our Split Cooking Class, as the hosts were friendly and patient, taught us new things about cooking and Croatian food, and guided us as we made a great meal. It was awesome. The only complaint I have is that they gave us an appetizer of cheese and meat to start (maybe it is a Croatian thing) which meant I used some of my stomach on good food instead of having more room for outstanding dishes prepared by the group. I highly recommend this class!
