Olive oil A-Z - Really nice tour with an excellent and knowledgeable guide! The tasting was much fun and we learned a lot about the oil and it’s varieties. Of course the products are also great!

Visit to the Sparta Gourmet - My visit to the Sparta Gourmet factory for an olive oil tasting was unforgettable and highly recommended for anyone visiting the area! The experience was so much more than a tasting—thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, we got a full immersion into the world of Greek olive oil production. The tour began with a warm welcome from the team, whose passion for their craft was evident. They guided us through each step of the production process, explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand and truly fascinating. We witnessed the extraction process of extra virgin olive oil firsthand, which gave us a deep appreciation for the meticulous care that goes into each bottle. From the harvesting of olives to the careful pressing methods, every detail was carefully demonstrated. One of the highlights was learning about the production of Kalamata olives. Seeing the sorting, curing, and packaging processes gave us a new respect for the quality and authenticity of the olives produced here. The tasting itself was a delight, offering a range of olive oils that showcased unique flavors and aromas, each one more delicious than the last. Overall, this experience at Sparta Gourmet was a perfect blend of education and enjoyment. It’s clear they are committed to excellence, and their welcoming nature makes you feel like part of the family. This is a must-visit for anyone interested in authentic Greek culture and cuisine.
