interesting and amazing views - the coach collected us from our hotel - early start so we had to make a picnic breakfast. Took a while to collect all the other passengers from various resorts but interesting as we had not seen much outside of our area. Enjoyed the drive up the mountain - beautiful views. Rest stop halfway up - be aware they charge 1 euro to use the toilet. The landscape changes quite a bit, and the guide was very good explaining about the local area and what we could see. We really enjoyed seeing the volcanic environment, the lava flows etc as it is something that interests us. Stopped at the coloured rocks and again - lots of amazing photo opportunities. Set time slot for the cable car. I think it is definitely worth going up - what an amazing view. Had been warned that it was cold up top, so we had packed lots of layers. Wasn't actually too bad (10 degrees) but very windy. Be aware that you do feel the effects of altitude so take things slowly - don't rush. You must wear sensible foot wear and they won't let you onto the cable car if your shoes are not appropriate. The paths are very rocky and uneven. Only allowed an hour at the top - my recommendation is to choose which view you want to explore (right or left!) as depending on how the altitude affects you, you may not have time to fully do both paths. Visitor centre at the bottom is very busy. Super hot when we got back to the coach (43 degrees!!) so again make sure you bring and drink plenty of water. Drove back a different way so got to see more of the volcano and the second cone. Had another photo stop there.
A very enjoyable trip.

Mount Teide & Cable Car - We considered it a little pricey. Also, you were told you had 2 hours at the top, then were given a slot for the cable car, but you had to queue for 50 minutes for. On the way back despite bringing it to the attention of the tour guide and coach driver the journey was insufferable, as the air con wasn't working.

VERY DISAPPOINTING - The experience was disappointing. They sell it as a 5-hour excursion, of which you spend 3 hours on the bus picking people up and dropping them off at their hotels. The guide's explanations are only provided on the bus; he doesn't accompany you on the tour. It's monotonous in three languages. They could spread out the people and do the excursion in just one language, which would be more enjoyable. When you arrive, they only give you an hour to do the tour, so you only have time for one of the tours, and it's quick. They should better indicate the type of footwear you should wear, not just saying "suitable." With hiking sandals, they prohibit you from entering; closed shoes must be worn. Bad excursion and information

Excursion teide tour with cable car - We have taken the Teide tour with cable car.
Is it worth it? the ES answer is a resounding NO
This excursion consists EN the following:
Pick up the bus early (before DE 08:00) and make several stops to pick up the different groups.
Once you’re ready, you’ll go up to the cable car making a stop shortly before DE arrival at a bar so you can have a drink and go to Service.
DE then continue the march until you arrive.
Once there, you are handed the tickets and DAN you only an hour to be up there (which, barely DA time to do any kind DE route).
When you're DE again downstairs, you either see the museum a bit or you have a drink...
From there to the bus again to resume the march, which consists of a stop to see the rocks of garcia, and about 15 minutes later, you stop in the same place as the climb to be able to drink something (or again...) I do not know with what end the truth, being able to get off perfectly without needing to stop more than half an hour just for that.
Conclusion? If you have a rental car, do not hesitate because it has been a total fiasco.
Of course, both driver Antonio and guide Jose very well.

ES A ROBBERY, NOT AN OUTING - Dire experience.
Our guide was Beatriz and driver Carmelo, we were picked up at the agreed time but we were DE the last stops of the bus, so being two people we had to sit apart!!!Beatriz, the guide, at no time organized people to complete the seats and parents and children were also separated. You pay 174€ and you can't even sit with your partner. Besides, I don't know the reason, but the four EN front were reserved for her, no one could sit on them. One thing to keep in mind ES the footwear, she EN no time warned or checked what we were wearing and a gentleman could NO longer get on the cable car.
During the journey there was hardly any explanation and when we arrived at Teide we had to wait 35 minutes in full sun to get on the cable car, when we had an entrance with the specified time.
EN summary, DO NOT PAY POR THIS!!!

Pull pasta - The appalling attention, little staff attending to access. They don't tell you what's necessary. We arrived upstairs and they tell me that I can not climb with proper shoes but the tour operator has not informed me of this, so I stay on the ground and my son and his father get on the cable car, what a disgusting excursion. Then they tell me that the fault lies with the tour operator, but I don't think they'll be held responsible.

Waste of time and money - There were a few points that made the tour lacklustre.
First. Having departed from the first stop and the last drop off point, the Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje, we spent an hour and a half each way driving around hotels. This was particularly long in the morning as the driver seemed unaware that there was a festival in Los Gigantes that meant roads were blocked off. Honestly, it would have been cheaper in terms of time and money to have just gotten a taxi to the cable car.
Secondly, the guide did not give much explanation in English. As someone who understands both English and Spanish, I was having to translate the guide's Spanish explanation to my partner as the English was only a fraction of what he said in Spanish. My friend who travelled with me was very disappointed with the English tour guide commentary.
Next, we were disappointed at how disorganised the tour was at Teide. We were told by our guide to be in the queue to go down the cable car by 12:40, which we did. We missed the first car because of a long queue, and when we got down on the second car, along with others from our tour, the guide chided us for being 30 minutes late and for keeping the rest waiting. He then said that we didn't have time to get food because we were late. This was very problematic for me as I am hypoglycemic and I need to eat to keep my sugar levels up. I have NEVER been on an all day tour previously where there wasn't an opportunity to eat!
Lastly, the final stop on the tour was a touristy shop that the driver stopped at for 30 minutes - demanding we all go in to try banana liqueur as if he owned the place. It was very distasteful.
I would not recommend this tour to anyone else .

Nefarious management and responsibility on the part of the company 0. - Nefarious management, responsibility 0. We had a reservation today for the first climb, at 9am for 4 (children included). We were coming from Adeje, so we had to get up early to get to the cable car base station in time, because they require you to arrive 20' early. At 08:01h I am sent an SMS informing that due to adverse weather, the climbs to Teide with the cable car are cancelled until 12h, although annoyed, so far everything is correct, the company informs and the weather is what it is. We arrive at the base station at 08:15h to manage this setback, we have to wait 30' until the information point and other services open. And, yes, very kindly, we are informed that, they will not manage anything of the reservation that they have cancelled us, that we do it online, that we have to test if there are available hours from 12h and look to modify the reservation from that time, because those who have dawn and have ticket between 9h and 12h we fucked** mos, we have no preference once you can get with the cable car, our reservations are invalidated. Solutions?, cancel the reservation (already invalidated) and look for hours from 12h 🤣🤣 of course, because even they know there is no more. Find another date, in the same week and for 4? 🤣🤣 of course. Obviously NO, no availability. So nothing, we have had to ask for the return of the reservation, which has been managed very quickly, but the conclusion is that neither my family nor I have been able to climb with the cable car. So the nefarious management, and even worse solutions and despite the great anger and frustration I feel, I think I have tried to be as correct as possible with the review.

Horrible bus ride without air conditioning. - Horrible. They sold us a trip up Mount Teide by bus and cable car, plus an hour with a guide to the crater, and instead they gave us a 4-hour bus ride with a guide who kept repeating the same thing in three languages, and a walk through a dry land around the GarcÃa Roques. On top of that, the bus didn't have air conditioning. A rip-off. We paid over 200 euros for 3 people. The speaking guide was quite rude.
