Seeing Lanzarote for Real - Powerful and informative. Volcano was awe-inspiring. Our tour guide was personable, witty, full of facts, history and anecdotes and charmingly attached to his homeland and its stories.

A must do when visiting Lanzarote! - Absolutely fantastic trip and highlight of our holiday! From start to finish very well organised. Lisa our guide was fantastic and Mervin the coach driver was very skilled! We were picked up promptly and sat at the top of the coach which was perfect for views! Started off with a camel ride (additional cost but well worth it) around some volcanoes, which was great fun. The camels are very well looked after and we were on them for around 25 mins. Then it was a short drive to the volcanoes to see the experiments and take some photos of the views and visit the gift shop. Then we drove through the volcanoes where we found out the history which was very interesting. This is where Mervin's skills were really shown, tight corners and narrow roads! Finally a stop for wine tasting. We went to the little craft beer shop and had half a pint first, then tried the wine which was delicious! Then dropped back to our hotel. It was fast paced at the stops however we didn't feel rushed and liked that we weren't lingering around for ages. 100% recommend!!

Tour to White Beach - We did the tour on our own, rented a car just after arriving at the airport
We were in the park of Timanfaya it was spectacular, I didn't like him camel ride, I didn't go up I feel sorry for the animals there we went to the geria to see the vineyards
We go down to the gulf (lake of clickos) the boilers and salt flats of Janubio all very nice and the spectacular views.
We end the day walking on white beach!

Fun morning out - A great way to see a few local sights in a relatively short amount of time. The bus picked us up from outside our hotel bang on time and our guide (I think her name was Maria) was friendly and knowledgeable and very clear in her instructions. She also spoke several languages. The driver did an excellent job (we found out after the volcano park it was his first time driving the route). The volcano experiments / demonstrations were interesting and the park was worth seeing. It is also a lot quicker to get in on a coach as the queue for hire cars waiting to get in was really long by the time we left. The green lagoon is unique although not much to do there. Potential downsides: you only get 20 - 35 minutes per stop so it can feel a little rushed but we felt like it was enough time to have a look round and buy a few souvenirs. The wine tasting consists of one small taste of one wine so it’s more of a stop at a winery than an actual tasting but the history of it was interesting and there was a great souvenir shop. The salt pans were similar, interesting to see and hear about but nothing to do except buy some salt and a well needed cold drink or ice cream. Overall would definitely recommend for adults, might be a bit of a long morning for kids unless you have something to entertain them with on the bus.

National Parks - The experience was really good. When booking the trip we were emailed later to tell us to go to another hotel for pick up. The coach then drove past our hotel on the way.
The "wine tasting" is a bit of a stretch at we arrived were given a few mils of 1 wine, shepherded through the shop and back onto the bus.
The actual trip through the national park was stunning and very informative. The tour guide was very funny and engaging.

An interesting tour - The tour was definitely worthwhile. The tour guide was knowledgeable & enthusiastic throughout. The hilight was the actual visit to the active volcano, seeing & feeling the extent to which the underground heat still rages. The drive through the lava fields was also fascinating, though some of the music played during this time was not an enhancement for us.
We did not think much of the wine tasting stop - a tiny shot of one wine was handed out & that was it, no invitation to sample others or explanation of their processes etc - not worthwhile.
One other point to mention is the “joining the tour” arrangement. We found it very haphazard & frankly disorderly: lots of people waiting for different tours, coaches just turning up without clear signs & no announcements. It was purely luck that got us on the right coach some 20 mins after our advised pick up time. We are glad we did go on this tour nevertheless.

Fabulous tour, we enjoyed it very much. - This was a great tour, although done in a slightly different order to the description. The bus driver and tour guide were fantastic! The information we were provided was excellent.
The trip to the Timanfaya National Park was really good. The workers at the park do a fabulous job of showing how much heat is just below the surface of the ground you’re stood on. Then the driver took us through the Lava fields, which appears you can only do on an organised tour. We then went to the wine tasting, which you can’t really call ‘tasting’ as we were only given one tiny taste of one wine each, despite the place having numerous bottles on sale. Had we been able to select some options to try I’m sure we’d have bought a bottle, as it was, we didn’t.
Then we went to El Golfo Lagoon and then onto the salt farm, which were both interesting and the guide was very informative about.
On the whole, it was a great trip and we’d highly recommend it. We didn’t give it the full 5 stars purely due to the lack of options of wine to try.

Volcanos not wine. - The volcano section of the tour is a must. Lava fields and geysers, chicken roasting on open wells into the volcano, bales of bursting dramatically into flames, scenery that’s out of this world. Excellent and very highly recommended. The wine tasting however, very poor. No preamble, no discussion, no options, just off the bus scramble through the door, the tiniest smattering of wine in a shot glass taken from a tray and move along.
Overall a worthwhile day but go for the volcanoes and the scenery because if you go for the wine you will be very disappointed!

Not a good day! - Playa Blanca
5 Scots had a very unhappy day

The bus was 15 minutes late. The card machine on the bus to pay was not working. I tried another 2 cards belonging to my husband but again no card worked. Other passengers all had to pay cash for the same reason. Myself and another passenger were taken into an office to pay. Again the card machine did not work (I was to pay for the 5 people in my party at this point). We had to withdraw cash from a cash machine. The exchange rate was low so the transaction to pay for the trip cot me an extra 30 euros. All this took time so we were late getting to our first stop. As the trip continued, we were given less time each stop. At the venue for lunch we had been told when we booked that the 3 course lunch was optional. No….. there was no alternative available. Our guide directed us to a small pub where we did get some sandwiches but again time had been cut short so it was a rush back to the bus. All in all a very disappointing day trip.
