The predominant color of the rocks here is white or light grey, offering a stark contrast to the red hues of the Coyote Buttes. However, the overall landscape features are akin - with undulating, thinly layered sedimentary rocks, strata of contrasting hues adjacent to one another, and intriguing shapes carved by erosion.
