Monument Valley is Stunning - Monument Valley is beyond stunning. We were very happy to have booked a tour vs. driving the 17-mile loop ourselves as we got to relax a lot more and were able to go to places you can’t go self-driving. While our guide pointed out various sites, he lacked enthusiasm and was really not that engaged. At the end, I was also taken aback by his announcement that “I expect a tip” vs. saying tips are appreciated. We tipped well as we always do but this was both rude and assuming - not a great way to end the trip.

10/10 would recommend - We were 10 min late and the driver waited for us. Super nice guy and very pleasant . The tour was just long enough and you get to see a lot more than if you just drove yourself plus you are supporting the local economy

Nice, educational trip, worth the time and cost. - The trip was great. Our guide / driver was very interesting and lots of cool information. Definitely glad we took the tour. The road was passable, but in his vehicle, it took the worry away.

The highlight of our trip to the US - Louis was a knowledgeable and thoughtful guide who's personal link to this spectacular, spiritual land just enhanced the whole experience for us. He was personable, gentle and was truly invested in immersing us in the beauty of his heritage land.
Louis, you are welcome at our home in Scotland anytime! Thanks so much, Helen and David

Okay… - We are unfortunately quite disappointed with our tour with Tinhorn yesterday. Our driver Lary arrived punctually at 11 a.m. in his old Jeep and we set off straight away on the tour. My husband and I were the only guests. Unfortunately he didn't introduce himself, we had to ask what his name was. From stop to stop Lary said almost nothing except the names of the rocks, which are all written on anyway. Sometimes he mentioned which film was shot there. But we didn't learn anything at all about the history of the Navajos. Not even when we asked. When we still had almost 30 minutes left of the 2 hours, Lary wanted to drive back after the backcountry part, even though we hadn't driven the entire circle yet. Luckily my husband asked him about the "Artist Point", then he reluctantly drove there. And in the wrong direction, even though the Scenic Drive is actually one way. He then simply skipped another viewpoint and in the end we would have had 8 minutes left. The Monument Valley is definitely worth seeing, it is a wonderful place. The only good thing about the tour was that we also drove into the backcountry, where you are not allowed to go with your own car. We would recommend a different organization. We cannot understand the good reviews here. Especially when Lary asked us at the end whether we wanted to give him his tip in cash or by card.
