Come explore the Hurricane canal! - I loved this tour! Reuben is a very knowledgable guide and his stories bring the whole experience to life. While walking this trail, you can picture the early settlers who worked without modern tools and equipment to make the settling of the town of Hurricane possible. Without water, the early town of Hurricane could not have survived. I would recommend this tour to tourists and to residents of Hurricane, St. George, Ivins, and the surrounding area. It is a magical piece of history. I have so much respect for the builders of the canal and the canal riders who kept the water flowing day in and day out for decades. The views are breathtaking, the history fascinating and the guide interesting, entertaining and friendly.

A Hidden Gem: Historic Hurricane Canal Tour with Ranger Reub Adventures - In September 2024, we embarked on the tour of the historic Hurricane Canal with Ranger Reub Adventures, and it was an unforgettable experience. This hike is truly a hidden gem, and Ranger Reub is an exceptional tour guide. The canal itself is an engineering marvel, a testament to the dedication and tenacity of the pioneers of Southern Utah. The tour covers an extensive portion of the canal and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding red rock canyons. Walking through several canal tunnels adds an element of adventure to the hike. Ranger Reub is the foremost historian of Southern Utah. He has authored two books on the region's history and is a sought-after guest speaker. His ability to bring history to life with engaging narration is unparalleled.
