- Moab - We will start off hiking and scrambling through the intriguing Valley of the Goblins that was featured in the film Galaxy Quest. Along the way, you will learn about the area’s unique geological, biological, historical, and cultural wonders. Your guide will also provide basic safety information, along with an introduction to the basics canyoneering before entering a beautiful slot canyon that disappears into a dark and mysterious chasm. Here, we’ll put on our canyoneering gear and rappel into the Goblin’s Lair which is also known as the Chamber of the Basilisk due to its resemblance to the interior of a medieval Gothic church. The landscapes are truly breathtaking and out of this world. While rappelling through the canyon, admire the sunbeams shining through to the canyon floor from the natural skylights above.
Once inside the Goblin’s Lair, we will enjoy a snack and explore the Lair’s hidden passages in search of the mysterious goblins. Once you’ve toured the Goblin’s Lair, we’ll catch a glimpse of the magnificent open landscape views towards Robbers Roost. This stunning vantage point is bound to impress you while you catch your breath before a quick hike back to the trailhead.

A fun and unique way to experience Goblin Valley State Park! - We really enjoyed our canyoneering adventure! Tyler was our guide and made sure we were safe and had a fun time. This was a great introduction to canyoneering.

Best experience ever. - LOVE!! Best experience ever. Austin was super knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The hike was other worldly, breathtaking. Absolutely recommend this tour. 10 | 10.

Thrilling Adventure Canyoneering First Timers - This experience was one of the best things we’ve all done! Goblin Valley State Park was so unique and our guide, Tyler, was so fun and knowledgeable. Now I wouldn’t want to come all this way without booking the canyoneering as it was remarkable! Tyler made us all feel very comfortable and at ease and that we could do it!!

Great Adventure! - Such an amazing location. This was by far the best tour, out of 5, that my family participated in. We loved every minute of it.
Tyler was a great guide. We have never repelled before, and he made everyone in the family feel completely safe during the whole adventure. He also had a wide array of knowledge about the park and the local area. We will definitely do it again if we are ever back in Utah.

Awesome, fun family adventure! - What an awesome and fun thing to do! We had our 7yo with us and rappelled into goblins lair. Tyler was knowledgeable and super friendly. We had a great time and felt really safe. Our kiddo can’t stop begging to do it again and honestly I don’t blame her! I want to do it again too. This company was great to work with and Tyler was fantastic!

Exhilarating fun!!! - Absolutely incredible experience!!! Goblin Valley State Park is beautiful… a bit off the beaten path, but totally worth it! The canyoneering adventure could not have been more fun! Elise was the sweetest, most helpful and encouraging guide… we loved her experience and fun attitude! She helped me do things that I didn’t believe I could!!! Such a great time… don’t pass it up!

Didn’t really know what to expect but would do it again! - This was an intense experience with hiking through the state park, rock climbing, and rappelling 100 feet down into the Goblin’s Lair, with an optional crawl through a tunnel to exit the chamber. Our guide Elsie and her assistant Amanda were very knowledgeable about the area and how to do everything we were doing safely. They provided all the equipment did a practice run with everyone on how to rappell, and encouraged us to take breaks and drink water after particularly strenuous portions of the day. It was hard but it was a lot of fun!
