Great value and comfortable, pleasant ride. - Safe ride in coach with driver who shared info about the areas as we passed them. Especially enjoyed the ride through the countryside in UK. The scheduled stop at Stonehenge definitely met my expectations and more. We were delivered right to the front door of our hotel in London. Yes, I'd recommend this tour.

Have used International Friends before but this time was not like our first experience. - We have used international friends on a previous trip but a lot of mix ups and miscommunication on this trip. We booked a private transfer to Southampton with a two hour tour to Stonehenge for our pre cruise arrival day. It was myself and my husband and my in-laws flying in from two different states. When I realize we were coming in from flights in two different terminals, I immediately reached out to international friends to make sure they were aware and be sure this would not be an issue on the day of our arrival. I was told there was an extra fee for an additional terminal pick up, but then that would not be a problem, I also advised that my in-laws flight arrived before our flight times of arrival for both flights I sent out an email approximately a week before our arrival to confirm that everything was all set with both terminal pick ups and to make sure we were at the correct pick up location. I was assured by the international friends staff via email that we were all set arriving to Heathrow I received a text from my in-laws who landed approximately 45 minutes prior to us that they had gotten their luggage gone through customs, and the driver was nowhere to be found. Once we arrived at baggage claim from our flight. I contacted international friends, the woman that answered remembered reading my email the previous week In responding to my inquiry to be sure that all was set before we arrived . She stated she would reach out to the driver to find out where they were. I never received a phone call back, so I called the main number back again because my in-laws were still waiting on a driver. When I called back, a gentleman stated that there was a mixup and the driver went to my terminal first instead of at the terminal to pick up my in-laws who arrived 45 minutes prior to us he stated because we were still waiting on luggage he would send the driver to the other terminal to pick up my in-laws who had been waiting And the drive would come and pick us up after I asked if that would be a problem for the driver and he stated that would not be a problem and that we may have to wait for once we got our luggage, but I was fine with that because my in-laws had already been waiting over an hour. About 10 minutes later, I get a phone call from a supervisor of international friends stating that it would be too difficult for the driver to go to the other terminal and come back to pick us up. I explain to him that I asked that question to the gentleman I was just speaking to to be sure it wouldn’t be a problem And I already told my in-laws 10 minutes ago to be on the lookout for this is becoming frustrating. Finally, we got our luggage and I text my in-laws to tell them we were on our way to their terminal to pick them up, but in total, my in-laws probably waited close to two hours in total and they are elderly and just got off a very long flight. The driver did apologize stating that he was told they were four people to pick up, but was never told the two different terminals or two different flights, which was very disappointing because I had emailed and discussed this with international friends on several occasions and even confirmed a week prior. He also stated that they are a private outside company that international friends uses, so these drivers do not directly work for international friends, which I was not aware of. The driver himself was very friendly. The condition of the vehicle was pristine. He even had water and snacks available however, our two hour tour consisted of us driving very fast to Stonehedge and the driver dropping us off and setting a pick up time for later there was no tour along the way . There was an issue that day with the Internet worldwide and Stonehenge was unable to accept any type of credit card payment, we had no British pound so we ended up going back to the minivan and going directly to our hotel. Still, there was no tour or explanation of anything along the way it was strictly , basically just a transfer from the airport to the hotel. I do understand the Stonehedge situation was an out of the ordinary situation and not at all the driver or international friends fault. The driver was sweet and even offered us cash that he had to buy the tickets which I thought was very considerate, but we had no means at that time to pay him back so at this point, my in-laws were exhausted and I thought the best course of action was to just get them back to the hotel. No one ever reached out from international friends after to apologize for the airport mixup or to make sure that everything else went ok. I do understand that mixups happen, but in especially in situations where a customer is following up to confirm details are all set a week in advance just to avoid mishaps. People put their trust that things will be taken care of. If we had all come in the same terminal or all arrived on the same flight, I’m sure this mishap would have been nonexistent but be aware that the drivers that international friends utilize do not work directly for this company so your level of service and tour experience can very greatly depending on your driver. Our trip back from the Southampton cruise terminal back to the airport was thankfully uneventful. I did receive a text from the driver, the night before stating his license plate and where he would be standing, he arrived promptly on time and the return trip back to the airport was fine and it was just a transfer.
