Our 40 foot sailing vessel, “Blue”, is capable of carrying up to 18 passengers and delivers a safe and fun lake adventure. All of our cruises include local beer and wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

Our team is dedicated to providing you with an experience of a lifetime. All of our captains are have United States Coast Guard Captains Licenses. Our vessel “Blue” is also certified by the Coast Guard meeting the highest safety requirements keeping your party as safe as possible.

Please note that our sailboat is powered by the wind, so our route for the two hour public cruise is wind dependent and it varies depending on the wind strength and direction.

Sail Tahoe Blue is the premier sailing charter in South Lake Tahoe. We offer a unique sailing adventure and include complementary local beer and wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages on all of our daily cruises.

Unlike other tour boats which take 50+ passengers, our sailing yacht, “Blue”, limits our capacity to 18 passengers. If you care to enjoy the beauty of propulsion by Mother Nature without the sound and smell of an engine, come sail with us!

Sail Tahoe Blue cruises focus on sailing and sharing the beauty of Lake Tahoe, we do not offer guided tours. Please note that we will be sailing and that the sailboat is powered by the wind, so our route is wind dependent. We do not sail to Emerald Bay on our public charters, as it is too far of a distance to sail in two hours.

Ages 5 and up only.

  • NO infants. Ages 5 and older only.
  • Sorry pups! Please leave your dogs at home, we do not allow dogs on our public charters.
  • Not recommended for people who struggle with balance or mobility

Excellent sailing experience - Our captain was knowledgeable about Tahoe and he piloted the ship perfectly. The small size and limited passengers made it enjoyable to get to know people. It was a perfect day on the lake.

Amazing - Easy tour to find if your eating at the riva grill before or after free valet parking if not the parking is 20 dollars you can park outside and walk into Rhe marina too great sail awesome tour highly recommend

Awesome 2 hour sail from South Lake Tahoe, I would definitely recommend! - The sail and crew were amazing! We took the 6pm sail for sunset, and it did not disappoint. We were able to catch a great sunset and get a lot of great views from the lake. The crew, Kyle and Nellie, were awesome! They were very knowledgeable, friendly and interactive with everyone on board. Kyle made a great playlist and Nellie kept our glasses full:) I would 10/10 recommend.

Great sail and great crew! - The sail and crew were great! We went in August and took the 6pm 2 hour sail. We were able to catch a great sunset and it was the perfect amount of time to be out. Kyle and Nellie were awesome! They were very knowledgeable, friendly and interactive with everyone on board. Kyle made a great playlist and Nellie kept our glasses full:) I would 10/10 recommend.

Beautiful experience with no crowds - Kyle and Megan were super friendly. We were almost rained out but patiently waited for storm to pass, unbelievable views. Well worth the ticket price. More intimate than sharing with 50+ people

Best experience in South Lake Tahoe! - What a perfect way to spend the morning in South Lake Tahoe! My only wish in visiting Lake Tahoe for the first time was to get on the water and see the lake! The morning sail did not disappoint. It was my first time on a sailboat. I loved the intimacy of the small group (14). With only a mild wind it was such a relaxing sail. Beautiful scenery to take in. It was so peaceful and so much fun! Our captain Justin was so kind and personable… and informative, but not dominating the sail with statistics and such. We were served an endless supply of beer and wine. Prosecco for me! He gave us a chance to steer - which was also first for me! Bucket list items completed. But I would do it over and over again!!! I highly recommend this excursion. The highlight of my trip!

Fun time - We enjoyed meeting new people sharing the same experience. We enjoyed the lake with Captain Kyle, and his first mate Megan. Even though we didn’t have much wind They made it enjoyable.
