A Journey Through Time: The Road to Cullinan

As a wildlife photographer with a penchant for adventure, I often find myself drawn to the untamed beauty of Africa. This time, however, my journey took a different turn. Instead of the usual safaris and wildlife encounters, I found myself on a road trip to the historic Cullinan Diamond Mine, just over an hour from Johannesburg. My guide for the day was William, a knowledgeable and engaging driver who made the journey as enlightening as the destination itself.

William and I quickly struck up a conversation, exchanging stories and learning about each other’s backgrounds. The staff were knowledgeable and allowed us to closely examine the differences in each diamond. It was a fascinating end to a rewarding experience, offering insights into the value and allure of these stones.
