- Bo-kaap - We will stop in the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, known as the Cape Malay Quarter, for a photo opportunity of the historic homes. Your tour guide will enrich the experience by sharing stories about this vibrant community.
- Maidens’ Cove - We pause at Maiden’s Cove to capture panoramic views of the Twelve Apostles, with the rocky coast as a breathtaking backdrop. This scenic overlook offers a prime vantage point to photograph the sweeping expanse of the ocean, Camps Bay Beach, and the iconic Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and surrounding neighborhoods of Clifton and Camps Bay. It’s a picturesque scene not to be missed.
- Duiker Island - To view the seal colony, you can take an optional 45-minute ferry trip to Duiker Island. The boat will circle the island so you can see the seals swimming and lounging on shore. We don’t recommend this activity when it’s windy or raining, as rough seas can make the ride unpleasant.
- Hout Bay - Our scenic drive continues along the coast to Hout Bay Harbour, where guests can choose to take a boat trip to Seal Island or explore the lively harbor market. Don’t miss the chance to sample Cape Town’s best fish and chips, available to-go or at the Mariner’s Wharf Restaurant, where you can dine on your own. Ask your guide for more details on the options in Hout Bay.
- Noordhoek Farm Village - We continue our coastal journey and stop in Noordhoek, enjoying breathtaking views of Noordhoek Beach and Long Beach below. Travelers can also opt to savor some of Cape Town’s best coffee at their own expense at the Village Roast.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Driving along Chapman’s Peak after departing from Hout Bay, we stop at the viewpoint to take spectacular photos. It’s no surprise that Chapman’s Peak is considered one of the most scenic routes in the world.
- Simon’s Town - We stop at the monument of Just Nuisance in Simon’s Town, where your tour guide will share the charming story of this Great Dane who became famous for his time with the South African Navy. The Naval Base itself is located in Simon’s Town, and your guide will recommend a restaurant for lunch that can accommodate the dietary needs of the group.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next stop is Boulders Beach, home to a colony of 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins. Your guide will escort you to the viewing point to get up close with these remarkable creatures. As you walk the boardwalk, you may even find a penguin or two strolling alongside you.
- Cape of Good Hope - Our tour culminates with a visit to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Lighthouse. At these historic sites, we will learn about Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco da Gama, two early European explorers who arrived in Cape Town in 1487 and 1495 respectively. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring sunblock, a jacket, and a hat. You will explore alongside your personal private tour guide in an intimate small group setting.
- Old Cape Point Lighthouse - From the Cape of Good Hope, we can choose to take a short hike to the Cape Point lighthouse or ride the Funicular. At the Cape Point, the southwestern tip of Africa, we will see where the cold Benguela current from the Atlantic meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean. We will explore the lighthouse and take in the spectacular views where these two mighty oceans collide.
- Muizenberg Beach - As we drive past Muizenberg Beach, we will stop to take photos of St. James Beach and its iconic rows of colorful changing huts. These beach huts, which were originally used as changing rooms for sunbathers decades ago, continue to serve beachgoers in that capacity today.
