The best tour & guide - This was a great tour with the most amazing guide, I cannot say enough praise for this tour & the people that run it ( a husband & wife). The day was not very nice with rain but somehow the guide managed to get us to see almost every animal that there was, I don't think that without his knowledge we would have seen any. We booked this tour while on a cruise & All the other tours were cancelled because of the rain but our guide (Ashley) made it happen. The lunch was very good but changed to a cold lunch from a BBQ because of the rain. I give this tour & guide 5 stars. Do yourself a favor, book this tour & no other.

Awesome guide. - Our day was very rainy. So limited in animal sitings. But we did manage to see quite a few. Ashley was a great tour guide.

A memorable experience... - A memorable experience which was really enhanced by our knowledgeable guide Ashley, who ensured that we all shared his love for the large number of animals that we sighted on the day. So many highlights and a lovely picnic lunch which was just right for us. An ideal trip for day visitors to Richards Bay.

Little Bush Baby Company is the best - Little Bush Baby Safari Experience tour might be the best Trip Advisor/ tour we have ever taken in years of international travel. Our guide Ashley is passionate and highly educated about the fauna and floral of the South African bush. His tour of the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi national park exceeded our high expectations. We saw virtually all of the animals in a natural setting and learned so much about the history and culture of the area. The picnic lunch prepared by Ashley's wife Katie was superb and her pre-excursion communications were outstanding as we took this tour after arriving in Richard's Bay but cruise. We would give this company and tour a rating of 10 if permitted.

Amazing Safari - We had a wonderful day with Ashley (The Little Bush Baby Company) at Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. He came to the cruise terminal at Richards Bay to pick us up in his very comfortable SUV. We were quite surprised to find that we were going to have a private tour for just the 2 of us. It was quite a long drive to the park, but we enjoyed our conversation with Ashley on the way. We were able to have a very full day at the park, because our ship was staying in port overnight - Ashley was in no hurry to get us back. We saw so much wildlife and Ashley was really enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with us. It was especially exciting to see 2 cheetah running through the bush. Lions were elusive, but we were thrilled to see elephants, zebra, antelope, warthogs, buffalo, wildebeest and white rhino at close quarters. We also saw a very large nile crocodile and hippos in the river at a distance. Ashley was keen to show us other creatures: vultures, a dung beetle and a leopard tortoise. We were given a snack pack for the morning and then we also enjoyed a beautiful picnic lunch with drinks - we adored his wife Katie's baking! I can heartily recommend The Little Bush Baby Company for your shore excursions in Richards Bay. I think that Ashley would be particularly amazing with family groups. We certainly learned a lot.

Perfect day in Richard’s Bay - Totally unbelievable experience with Ashley who provided such an excellent drive, educational experience, and navigating into the park. He knew the park inside and out, the animal habitat, tracks, markings, and history of the area. We could not have asked for a better day!

A Mega Pride to Remember - We contacted Ashley through Tours by Locals three months prior to our Safari in the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park. Throughout that time, Ashley provided us with various itineraries, food options, and pricing based on what we wanted to see. After finalizing a plan, Ashley provided us with a great tour that included four of the big five. After a reported sighting of a leopard, Ashley made an earnest effort for us to see the leopard, though it was a miss. We will see it upon our return tour with Ashley to the Imolozi water park. However, we were able to catch a road crossing of a mega pride of lions. They are sneaky as we pass them unobserved in the brush. To Ashley's credit, by his looking in the rearview mirror we were able to witness this pride. Also, the giraffes battling each other was an amazing sight to see. The size difference between a wild versus a caged giraffe is interesting. Ashley is dependable, showed concern for his guests, and gave credit to his family for preparing our fantastic-style lunch. Though it wasn't the traditional South African braai (BBQ), it didn't disappoint, as the time was needed to track down the animals, besides the heat was not conducive for a BBQ. Ashley can prepare for the unknown and improvise. He will not disappoint. Traits: Youthful, Knowledgeable, dependable and shows love for South Africa
