Honeymoon Tours - 5 stars - We used Ilios Travel for quite a few services/tours on our honeymoon to Cape Town. All of their staff was always prompt and courteous, and provided us with water bottles on each excursion. We had the same tour guide, Aslam, for 2 days of tours and not only was he very knowledgeable about the history, culture and nature, but he became a friend after all the time spent together. He made our honeymoon adventures truly special and we are so thankful to have connected with him. On the first day, we hiked Table Mountain (in the rain! it snowed that day on top of the mountain) and while we weren't able to make it to the top, we were able to really enjoy our hike and soak in some incredible view of Camps Bay and Lions Head. Our guide, Tiaan, brought us snacks & water, taught us about the animals and vegetation, and tailored our hike to fit our level and desire of fitness. Following the hike, Aslam took us around the city of Cape Town via car, and explained a lot of the nation's history, as well as his own personal anecdotes. On our second day, Aslam drove us to the Cape of Good Hope, making stops along the way. He really let us determine the pace of the day and offered options at every stop. It was absolutely beautiful and maybe on of my favorite days of our entire 2 week honeymoon. On the way back, he offered to take us to Kirstenbosch botanical gardens or Groot Constantia winery. We asked his opinion, and he suggested the winery as the gardens were really not lush during the winter and we had likely already seen all the plants previously. We took his advice, and we had such a fun experience doing the wine and chocolate pairing at Groot! All in all, our time spent with the staff of Ilios Travel was time very well spent. They did not have a cookie cutter tour and really let us determine how we wanted to spend our time. I am so appreciate of Aslam and Tiaan for such memorable experiences!

Fantastic Tour!! - We have a fabulous day touring the peninsula. TONY was a fantastic and fun guide for 2 parents and 3 adult children. The box lunch was a delicious, gourmet meal. Do not hesitate to book this tour!!!

Awesome Day!!!!!! - This was an amazing day and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to CapeTown. Our bus was clean, our driver was very knowledgeable, and we were amazed at how well our driver timed out our day.

Fantastic experience - Christopher was a great guide! We had Chris as a guide for our city tour, wine country and cape of good hope tours. He’s friends with everyone! We had trouble getting tickets to Robben island so he made a call and viola we had four tickets. Chris took us to Langa and introduced us to a colleague who showed us the township. We would recommend him and Ílios to everyone!

Truly Memorable Day - Our tour included Chapman's Peak, the Cape of Good Hope, Boulder Beach Penguins and the Botanical Garden. The day was perfect, from the weather, to everything we saw and everything we experienced! However, what really tied everything together and enhanced the experience was our guide and I apologize but we did not get the proper spelling of his name. Other reviews have mentioned a guide named Tandele and that spelling fits with how he pronounced his name when he introduced himself, after which he asked us to just call him Tee. Never-the-less, Tee was early with a big bright smile at the hotel and off we went! Tee made sure we knew the history of everything we were seeing as well as providing some very interesting stories which all made what we were seeing so much more better. Tee also took extra care to make sure we were always comfortable and also without asking he made sure to set us up for couple's photos at each stop which sure beats trying to take selfies! He was always energetic and kept us motivated and engaged the entire time! We are truly grateful for everything he did and the memories he provided for us and surely recommend him to anyone looking for a great day touring Cape Town and surrounding areas!! As for the places we saw, everything was extremely picturesque, the Penguins were amazing (making sure you get on the beach and climb under/over the rocks, you will thank me later) and the Botanical Garden was unlike anything we have been to before, everything there are very beautiful and well taken care of! Thank you for everything Tee!!

Cape Town and The Cape with Phaldie Daniels - My wife and I spent two days, August 23-24, doing private tours with Phaldie Daniels. We did a city tour and Table Mountain on the 23rd. On the 24th we did the Cape Tour and also stopped briefly at Steenberg Winery. Both days were great and we enjoyed spending time with Phaldie. He is an outstanding guide and very knowledgeable. If we get to Cape Town again in the future, we will certainly try to book a tour with him.

Spectacular Tour of the Cape - We had a spectacular day exploring Cape Point and the Peninsula with our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, Ash. We visited Chapman’s Peak, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, and the penguins at Boulders Beach. We even got to spend some time exploring Simon's Town and Kalk Bay. We opted not to do the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden because we were traveling with teenagers who preferred to explore the local shops and sample different flavors of ice cream. I certainly can't complain about that! Ash was a wonderful guide who gave us so much fascinating information about the culture and history of Cape Town. He was also more than willing to tailor our tour to suit our family's interests. I can't say enough good things about Ilios travel. We had a fantastic experience!

Great Tours with Phaldie and Z! - My husband and I had three separate tours with Ilios: Table Mountain/City Tour (with Z), Cape Point & Peninsula (with Phaldie) and travel to Winelands (with Phaldie), and we had the absolute best time each day. Both Z and Phaldie were AMAZING. They were both so knowledgeable, fun, open, communicative and personable. It is unbelievable how much knowledge they had about so many different topics. They both gave really great recommendations about things to do on our tours while also taking into consideration things that would interest us. They were punctual and attentive, and I felt we were very well taken care of. Phaldie drove us for so many hours, all over the place and sometimes in the pouring rain, and he remained positive and energetic despite how tiring I can imagine the day is and still prioritized us having a good experience despite the weather. I also would recommend this tour in general because you really get to see everything without having to plan it all yourself which I appreciated. Definitely recommend this tour!

It is all about the people! - Our tour guide, Ishmael, is exceptional!!!! He is so kind, honest and informative. It felt more like an old friend was showing us his town than someone we just met.
