A perfect 10/10 day in the Winelands! - We booked this tour as a highlight of our honeymoon, and it absolutely exceeded all our expectations. From start to finish, it was seamless, sophisticated, and so much fun. Our guide, Michael, was fantastic. His knowledge of wine and the region's history was impressive, but he never made it feel like a lecture. He was engaging, funny, and tailored the day perfectly to our preferences. He clearly had great relationships with the wineries we visited, which made us feel like VIPs. The scenery driving through Stellenbosch and Franschhoek is just breathtaking. The mountains and rolling vineyards are even more beautiful in person. We visited three distinct wineries, each offering a different vibe – from a grand, historic estate to a more modern, boutique vineyard. The tastings were generous and varied; we loved comparing the bold reds to the crisp whites, and the sparkling wine and port were a real treat. The included cheese and chocolate tastings were the perfect gourmet touch. We stopped for lunch at a lovely restaurant in Franschhoek with a stunning terrace view. The food was delicious and a great chance to relax and soak in the atmosphere. What we appreciated most was the private tour aspect. It was just us and our guide, so we could take our time, ask endless questions, and truly enjoy the day at our own pace. It felt like a special, personalized experience rather than a canned tour. If you have even a passing interest in wine, this tour is a must-do. It’s the perfect way to experience the beauty and flavors of the Cape Winelands without any stress. A truly memorable day

An absolutely fabulous day in the Winelands! - My husband and I did this tour for our anniversary, and it was simply perfect. We’ve done wine tours in other countries, but this one stands out because of the sheer quality and personalization. Our guide, David, was a gem. He was incredibly knowledgeable not just about the wine, but about the history of the regions, the different grape varieties, and the stories behind each estate. He wasn't just a driver; he was a true ambassador for the Cape Winelands. The tour was beautifully paced. We visited three very different wineries—one a large, award-winning estate with breathtaking architecture, another a smaller, family-run farm where we felt like personal guests, and a third that specialized in Méthode Cap Classique (South African sparkling wine). The variety was fantastic. We tasted everything from robust Pinotage to crisp Chenin Blanc, and even some port and local cheeses. The chocolate pairing was a delightful surprise! The scenery is, of course, stunning. Driving through the valleys of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek with the mountains all around is something you have to see to believe. David made a few spontaneous stops for us to take photos, which we really appreciated. We opted for lunch at a restaurant he recommended in Franschhoek, and it was delicious. Sitting outside with a glass of wine, looking over the vineyards… it doesn’t get much better than that. What made it a "top award-winning" experience for us was the private aspect. There was no rushing, no waiting for a big group. It felt like a day out with a knowledgeable friend. If you love wine, beautiful scenery, and a relaxed, first-class experience, book this tour. You won’t regret it

So much fun - Okay, so we just got back from our second trip to the Winelands and I'm still buzzing. Remember how we did the basic tastings last time? This time we went for one of those fancy private ones at Klein Constantia and it was next level. It's not like a normal tasting where you stand at a bar. They put you in this super chill, private room that looks out over the whole vineyard. It feels legit. The wine itself was insane – we finally tried that famous Vin de Constance dessert wine everyone raves about. It’s like drinking liquid gold. Seriously, so good. Their top red was also a proper powerhouse. But honestly, the best part was our guide, Callixte from Private Safari Tours. We used him again because he’s an absolute legend. It's like rolling up to every spot with a VIP pass. He knows his stuff inside and out, but he explains it without any of the snobby stuff. He had us crying laughing with stories between farms and just made the whole day an absolute blast. He’s the GOAT. If you guys are ever going to splurge on a proper day out, do this. 100/10. Just ask for Callixte – tell him we sent you!

Good times - I want to thank you for our amazing private tour last week. My husband and me, we are so happy we booked this. Our guide, his name was Callixte, he picked us up from hotel right on time with a very clean car and big smile. He was so friendly and know everything about Cape Town. He told us many stories about the history and also about the nature.

Wine tasting extravangant - Our day began not at a wine estate, but at our hotel doorstep in Cape Town, where Callixte from Safari Private Tours greeted us with a warm smile and a bottle of chilled water in his pristine, air-conditioned luxury vehicle. This attention to comfort was a sign of things to come. He outlined the day's bespoke itinerary, which he had crafted based on our initial conversation about preferring bold reds and elegant whites, assuring us we were in for a journey to some of the region's most acclaimed, award-winning cellars. The drive itself was part of the experience. As we left the city, Callixte became our personal historian and cultural guide. He didn't just point out mountains; he explained the formation of the Stellenbosch Mountain range and how its unique geology creates the diverse terroir we were about to explore. He shared stories of the old Cape Dutch homesteads we passed, weaving a rich tapestry of history and viticulture that built immense anticipation for our first stop. Our initial tasting was at a prestigious, family-run estate in Stellenbosch known for its Shiraz. Because Callixte had pre-arranged everything, we were whisked past the main tasting room into a cool, private cellar lined with barrels. Here, the winemaker herself emerged for a brief hello—a testament to the relationships Callixte has built. We tasted straight from the barrel, comparing it to the current released vintage, an incredible privilege that showcased the wine's evolution.
