After being picked up from your Cape Town accommodation, travel in a comfortable minivan, with a stop at a farm stall on the R27 along the way.

Upon arrival at the West Coast National Park, enjoy approximately three hours exploring the park’s stunning scenery. Discover this bird lover’s paradise along the azure waters of the Langebaan lagoon. In spring (Aug-Sept), the strandveld transforms into a vibrant tapestry of wildflowers, and you may also encounter wildlife such as ostriches, eland, bontebok, springbok, and tortoises.

• Langebaan Lagoon - Opt to drive along scenic routes or hike the 4.6-kilometer Bakoor trail, offering views of the Langebaan Lagoon. Starting at the Langebaan gate, the trail leads to the Seeberg View Point, an ideal spot to observe some of the park’s rarer bird species, including the Curlew Sandpiper, Sanderling, and Knot. Alternatively, the 7-kilometer Geelbek trail takes you all the way to the beach.
• Langebaan Beach - For lunch (optional extra), choose between staying in the park or visiting the charming seaside town of Langebaan. If you prefer to remain in the park, dine at Geelbek restaurant, housed in an old Cape Dutch building, offering a variety of West Coast traditional delicacies. If you wish to explore further and enjoy a seaside setting, lunch at Pearly’s restaurant in the delightful fishing town of Langebaan is a must. Located on Langebaan’s main beach, with views of the lagoon, this rustic restaurant serves delicious fresh seafood, as well as pizza and pasta.

The return journey to your Cape Town accommodation includes a stop for sundowners on Blouberg Beach. This is the perfect spot to capture that iconic photo of Cape Town, with Table Mountain as its majestic backdrop. Expect to arrive back in the early evening.
