What to know before you go:
Remember to bring a copy of your passport on the day of the tour, as it is required by the Robben Island Tour Operator before departure. Our office will notify you of the pickup time at your hotel 24 hours before the tour departs for Robben Island.

• Bo-Kaap - On the way to the vibrant neighborhood of Bo-Kaap, where the brightly painted houses and streets reflect a rich cultural heritage. As we admire the colorful facades and historic mosques, you’ll learn about the deep roots of Cape Malay culture and its impact on Cape Town’s culture.

• Long Street - We’ll proceed to the lively stretch of Long Street, where Victorian-era buildings meet bustling bars, bookshops, and vintage boutiques. Each step uncovers another layer of Cape Town’s unique character—where the past and present converge.

• Green Market Square - We’ll dive into the hustle and bustle of Greenmarket Square, where traders offer handcrafted goods, local art, and vibrant textiles. It’s a local marketplace brimming with energy, showcasing the rhythm of Cape Town’s creative soul.

• Iziko Slave Lodge - We’ll pass significant landmarks like the Slave Lodge, a solemn reminder of the city’s colonial history.

• Cape Town City Hall - The City Hall, where historic speeches and protests once echoed through its grand arches, with an opportunity to visit an exhibition on Nelson Mandela.

• District Six - Our final destination is District 6, where stories of forced removals and cultural resilience continue to shape the area. Here, you’ll gain insight into a chapter of Cape Town’s past that still informs its identity today.

• Seven Colours Eatery - Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a traditional South African restaurant, offering local traditional meals (lunch is at your own expense).

• Table Mountain National Park - Finally, a drive to our last stop, the thrilling cable car ride up Table Mountain. Enjoy breathtaking views of the city and ocean, and from here, we will drop you off at your accommodation in Cape Town.

The tour kicks off with a pick-up from your accommodation at approximately 10am, heading to the colorful Bo-Kaap, where the vividly painted houses and streets celebrate Cape Malay heritage. Participants will discover the community’s origins and its influence on Cape Town’s culture.

Following Bo-Kaap, the tour proceeds to the bustling Long Street, where Victorian-era architecture meets lively bars and vintage shops, each step uncovering more of the city’s unique character.

The journey continues to Greenmarket Square, brimming with local art, handmade crafts, and textiles, offering a vibrant display of Cape Town’s artistic flair.

The tour then passes by Saint Georges Mall, the Slave Lodge, and City Hall, where historic speeches once resonated. There is an opportunity to visit an exhibition on Nelson Mandela.

In District Six, the tour reflects on the stories of forced removals and resilience that have shaped Cape Town’s identity.

Participants can enjoy a traditional South African lunch (at their own expense), followed by a cable car ride up Table Mountain for stunning views before returning to their accommodation.
