Interesting, fun and original … - The tour offered by Hotel Chocolat encompasses all the aspects of chocolat (and coffee) artisanal production, from growing the cacao plants to making your own chocolate bar from cacao nibs … the guides are extremely knowledgeable, eager to show and share their skills and experience and they are funny. The food offered during the tour was amazing (maï-maï battered fish, highly recommended). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Must Do! - This is a must do experience! You get to explore the process of how cacao becomes chocolate and then make your own chocolate bar! Be prepared for authentic chocolate taste! The staff is kind, they gave out water and peppermint essential oil towels to cool us off after the walk through the nature.

Informative and fun family outing - Beautiful experience, walking through the gardens and taking a close look at cacao trees. We had a great guide, Nathan, who was very knowledgeable. They took really good care of us because of the heat, for example they gave us chilled peppermint towels, chilled chocolate drinks, and plenty of chilled water. The whole family loved the chocolate bar-making experience, although be ready to put in some elbow grease! The market lunch is filling and delicious.

Chocolate Tour - The Rabot estate is absolutely gorgeous and I really enjoyed this chocolate Tour. They showed you the process of making chocolate and everyone got a chance to make their own at the same time. There’s a selection of chocolates for you to purchase at the end if you wish. They also have a restaurant that I had dinner at. A lot of the dishes were chocolate or cacao themed as well as some of the drinks. The food I had wasn’t that great, but the views were absolutely breathtaking.

Pricey and lacked any substance - Very pricey and lacking in any real substance or detail. You get shown a beautiful garden but not around the actual plantation. There’s no chocolate tasting (other than the chocolate you make yourself) and although lunch is included 1x coffee and 1x tea were $13 extra. Big shop, but prices were high. Guides/hosts were lovely but could only stick to the script, they struggled to answer questions and when asked about Ruby Chocolate said they’d never heard of it, it was just chocolate with food colouring!!!!?
