Bean to Bar is a MUST - Bean to Bar is just a MUST for any visitor. A wonderful guided tour and full explanation of bean to bar, how the cacao tree is grown or grafted as needs be. You get to graft your own cacao tree (but don't expect updates on how it is doing LOL), wandering around the plantation - look out for the wildlife (the wasp is huge and like a sci fi animal!) and enjoy the variety of other plants there, but making your own chocolate bar is exhausting! However, the end result was delicious. Lunch was rather disappointing in the limitations however. I would have loved to have enjoyed the pizza and the crepes - but they were not offer within the lunch menu for the tour! Disappointing to say the least given the price of the tour - you need to review that HC! The staff are delightful, informative, and helpful throughout. you need to be aware that there are a LOT of steps down throughout the tour and then back up again for the chocolate making and for lunch - if you are not fully mobile they can be off putting.

Not to be missed - Highly recommend this experience. Our guide, Nathan, was a delight to listen to with a witty but informative narrative. Grafting our own cacao tree was a unique experience. The tour could have been a bit longer. Making our own chocolate bar was hard work but worth the effort - end result delicious! Lunch was rather disappointing. Limiting our choices was not great - there were dishes I would have liked to try but they were not available as part of the deal - very disappointing. It was also not made clear when I pre-booked my place that I could arrive early to have my lunch BEFORE the tour, rather than taking it after, which made it practically dinner rather than lunch. I also found the explanation of the one way system very difficult to follow - the part where I expected to get out on to the top end of the road was chained off and I ended up driving out of the "in".

Bean to Bar Experience - We had an amazing time at the Chocolate making class. Tahjahne was our host, and he was the best. He took his time to explain the entire process and made it such a wonderful fun experience. They were very nice and understanding to accommodate us after a mishap with our arrival time. I highly recommend this tour, very informative and fun, you will love it.

Fun experience in a beautiful location! - We did the experience as an excursion of the cruise we were on. The chocolate making was a fun activity, but did give a good arm work out! The instructor was friendly and gave lots of information about the chocolate making process. You spend about 45 mins making a 65% dark chocolate bar from grinding cocoa nibs with a hot pestle and mortar, before adding in cocoa butter and sugar. The lunch was included with the package we brought and it was at their food shack area, not the main restaurant. Although there was not too much choice, we got to choose a mains (chicken roti, beef burger and I'm sure there was a veggie option) and two sides (mac and cheese, plantain chips, sweet potato wedges and breadsticks). A drink was also included and a sundae to finish off!

Fun time - We learned a lot about the chocolate making process and enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We also walked around the beautiful grounds and learned even more. We had a delicious lunch on site. This is a great rainy day activity!

Underwhelmed - Honestly, underwhelmed. Very little gained and over priced for the hour. Felt “put on the tourist fast track conveyor belt”. First and last time

Over priced - Although we enjoyed the experience it wasn’t worth the money or the travelling we did from the north of St Lucia to get there. I would recommend if it was a third of the price. For the cost I expected to see something - an actual cocoa bean tree would have been nice and to see more of the process.
