• Vesuvius National Park - The National Park of Mt Vesuvius is a treasure trove of natural wonders, volcanic history, breathtaking vistas, and age-old traditions, making it one of the most captivating and frequented destinations globally. Established on June 5, 1995, the Vesuvius National Park aims to protect the diverse animal and plant species, unique geological features, paleontological formations, biological communities, scenic beauty, natural processes, and ecological balance of the Vesuvian region.

• Vesuvius National Park - Vesuvius is a classic example of a stratovolcano, featuring an outer cone, Monte Somma, with a largely eroded crateric belt, and a smaller cone known as Vesuvius, separated by the Valle del Gigante, part of the ancient caldera. During the eruption of 79 AD, the Great Cone was formed. Vesuvius is a polygenic and composite volcano, composed of lava with varying chemical compositions (such as trachyte, tephrites, leucitites) and formed by both lava flows and pyroclastic deposits.

• Sorrentino Vini - Established in 1990 by Paolo Sorrentino’s passion, Sorrentino Vini is the largest vineyard on Vesuvius, spanning 35 hectares within the National Park of Vesuvius. The most renowned wine produced here is Lacryma Christi, the only DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) wine from Vesuvius.

Depart from Sorrento at approximately 11:00 a.m. and head to a charming vineyard for a delightful wine tasting and light lunch. Join our popular tour to explore the majestic Vesuvius, offering a perfect blend of nature and traditional cuisine! This mountain is one of only two active volcanoes in Continental Europe, standing at about 1,281 meters tall, with a symmetrical central cone and steep wooded slopes. The entire Mount Vesuvius National Park is both stunning and fruitful, featuring small farms and wineries with heirloom varietals that thrive in this unique region. Visiting the crater is essential, attracting tourists worldwide who climb the path each year to gaze into its depths. The first stop will be at a local vineyard on the slopes of Vesuvius to savor a glass of wine alongside a traditional Italian light lunch. Following this, the journey continues with a visit to the impressive Vesuvius for approximately 2 hours. Return to Sorrento in the afternoon.
