Half Day Rila Monastery Trip - We selected this tour as we had limited time to do anything else that day due to evening return flight . Had a great time with Guide Vincent - He was very professional , enthusiastic and punctual. We were very lucky to spot Storks on the way ( Again thanks toVincent who knew where to look out for them ) . Storks come in specific time of the year . Rila Monastery is very good

Small but very beautiful and the guide was very informative - Beautiful church with frescoes from the 12 century. The guide was able to state the names of all the figures in the frescoes. I was surprised to learn that some of the figures were from Spain Italy etc. I enjoyed the visit immensely.

Fully recommend - However this is a newly established organization, all went more than well! I could contact them still from the bus via Social Media platforms and we could solve the situation immediately that I was in a 4 hour late so my original plans ruined... Nevertheless, the driver was waiting for me for an extra 30 mins, took me to Boyana, told a lot of interesting thing about Bulgaria, Sofia, etc. He was really friendly, punctual. The attraction itself worth the money and time, however be aware to book ahead as only 8 people can be inside the church at the same time and only for 10 mins. This info is mostly unknown before you are on the spot. So at once you win a flexible drop on-off service without the fear of a taxi scam and a guide for your tour to Sofia - Boyana...

Good monastery, but not a pleasant drive - The monastery was good. However, the drive there and back was not too pleasant. The driver drove at a high speed (mostly between 130-140kmh). On the way back from Rila to Sofia the driver made an unexpected stop for fuel. This was not too considerate. The vehicle should have been filled beforehand. In Sofia of us also had to ask the driver to put down his cellphone and concentrate on his driving since he nearly bumped into a car next to us. This made the entire experience rather forgettable.
