Plovdiv was initially a Thracian city before evolving into a Greek city, and subsequently a significant Roman city. During the Middle Ages, it maintained its strategic regional significance, alternating control between the Byzantine and Bulgarian Empires. With a history spanning 8,000 years, Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria and contains remnants of a Neolithic settlement dating back to approximately 6000 BC.

17:00 Depart from Plovdiv
18:30 Return to Sofia
