Lenangsveien 1483 - The adventure starts with a pickup in Tromsø city center, followed by a scenic transfer to the base camp, which includes a short ferry crossing.
Upon arrival at base camp, guests receive their snowmobiling gear—suit, boots, and helmet. An experienced English-speaking guide will demonstrate how to operate the snowmobile, followed by a brief practice session before the tour begins.
The group rides in a line, safari-style, along approved and well-established trails. The varied terrain of the Lyngen Alps provides fun and exciting driving challenges along the way. As guests ride, they can enjoy beautiful views of mountains, forests, and fjords while experiencing the Arctic landscape from the snowmobile.
The snowmobile experience lasts approximately 90 minutes, including the practice session. Each snowmobile is shared between two guests, with the opportunity to switch drivers at designated points during the tour.

- Each snowmobile is shared by two participants—one driver and one passenger—even if you book alone. You can switch places during the tour. Passengers do not need a driver’s license, but each group must have enough licensed drivers to operate its snowmobiles.
- Drivers must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- The tour may be canceled due to weather, safety concerns, or insufficient participants. In this case, you will receive a full refund.
- Pick-up and drop-off times may change due to weather, road conditions, or ferry schedules. Allow extra time before flights or onward travel.
- We provide each participant with an insulated snowsuit, winter boots, and a helmet. However, you must still come prepared for cold Arctic conditions. Please bring warm layers to wear underneath the snowsuit, wool socks, gloves or mittens, and something to protect your face and neck, such as a balaclava, neck warmer, or scarf. We also recommend bringing a water bottle.

- All participants must follow the safety briefing. We may exclude anyone who endangers themselves or others from the tour without a refund.
- No refund is given if you arrive late or miss the agreed pick-up time.
- The snowmobiles are insured. If a driver causes damage to a snowmobile, they will be required to pay the fixed insurance deductible of 9,000 NOK. Before driving, each driver must read and sign a liability waiver acknowledging this responsibility. Damage is uncommon when the snowmobiles are operated carefully and the guide’s safety instructions are followed.
- We can accommodate the following: vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options — but not in combination (e.g., gluten-free and vegan together). Please don’t forget to add this to your booking notes — we need to know in advance.
