• Unirea Salt Mine - The Slănic mine, situated in Slănic, Prahova County, Romania, is an historic salt mine located 100 km north of Bucharest. Although it no longer serves extraction purposes, it welcomes visitors to experience its unique microclimate, which offers natural air-conditioning and maintains a consistent temperature and atmospheric pressure year-round. The mine consists of two levels, named Unirea and Mihai. Many visitors are drawn by the reputed healing properties attributed to the pure air. Within the mine, there are various recreational facilities, including playground equipment and ping-pong tables. Additionally, a designated area is reserved for medical patients with lung cancer to relax and recuperate.

Start the journey with a pickup from the meeting point in Bucharest and travel to the Slănic Prahova Salt Mine, the largest in Europe. This mine was created by excavating 2.9 million cubic meters of salt deposits.

Inside, explore the salt lake and the waterfall, which can be admired from the bridge. The mine reaches a maximum depth of 217 meters, with some chambers soaring 55 meters high, covering a total area of approximately 80,000 square meters.

Visit the mine museum to delve into its history and explore various exhibitions showcasing the equipment used over the years. After the visit, return to the original meeting point.
