A day of lasting memories! - This tour was a real highlight of our trip. We started with a visit to the beautiful St. Panteleimon Church, which offers a great view of the surrounding area. Then came the relaxing boat ride through the stunning Matka Canyon, where we enjoyed breathtaking scenery at a comfortable pace. Our guide shared a lot of interesting background information and we also had the chance to explore a small cave. The small group size allowed for a personal and unhurried atmosphere throughout. At the end of the tour, our guide Damir mentioned that he also offers a food-tasting experience in Skopje’s Old Town and the local bazaar. We decided to join, and it was a wonderful add-on! Delicious local bites, a lively atmosphere, and a fantastic way to experience the city’s culinary culture. Overall, the day was well-organized, varied, and truly enjoyable. A big thanks to Damir, who made both parts of the experience special and memorable.

Nice outing - The itinerary of the trip was changed so that we had nowhere to join the lake and could immediately get on the boat. The guide told about his country in a very pleasant way.

Enjoyable afternoon!! - I really enjoyed our boat ride into the Matka canyon. Alex was attentive throughout and shared bits of information about the surroundings during the drive. We couldn’t do that cable car as it is closed on Monday.

Even through the rain, worth every cent - Our tour guide was Demir and from the moment he picked us up everything went very smooth! He is a true lokal with so many stories, fun facts, experience and great humor. We were definitely in good hands! Although we went on a rather gloomy and rainy day, we still enjoyed the tour very much, and would recommend this at all costs (worth the money for sure). The boat ride was done by his son who was also made sure to make all of us laugh and have fun. It was also a good size for a group (7 people). We not only got to see the sights planned for the tour but got to learn so much about the country and Skopje as we drove by and Demir even walked with us to get lunch afterwards. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour!

Good trip; but the canyon boat/ cave is rubbish - Generally a good trip. Oliver (?) was an excellent guide and was knowledgable and cerebral. The Macedonian Orthodox church was sensational, we thought the cable car was fun, but we could take or leave the reconstructed village thing. The canyon needs commenting on however. The boat trip to see the cave is almost presented as a fait accompli. What it is is a 20 minute trip on a rubbish strewn like. You get off the boat and see a very non-descript cave and then go back. The guys running the boat are clearly gangsters and they snarl at you when you part with a considerable sum of money. As it happens, you can walk along the side of the canyon for free, and I think that would be better. But nobody is making money out of that, so we weren’t told! A much better tour would be to eschew the canyon altogether.

Canyon Matka - For this visit, there were about ten of us, until then we were solo with our guides. The visit of the Canyon is pleasant, it is superb the boat ride however the visit of the cave is not essential, it is fast and there is no one to visit us this cave. We had other stops including the Millennium Cross, we took the cable car, it was very hot in the cabin and arrived there, there is nothing to do just be at the foot of the cross. We took a break of 15-20 minutes at this place, it was useless. The cross is beautiful to see from Skopje at night because it is illuminated and can be seen from a distance. We expected something else during this visit. Note, that our guide was welcoming and available.

Boring and too long tour - Long stops at places where we could have spent half less time. Not much guided tour / information during the tour. Only thing included was basically the transportation and a bit of information, but the guide would not guide us and give us information during the visits. Every activity required extra payment.
