Journey through the White Pass into Canada and the Yukon Territory, where you’ll visit the Carcross Desert, Emerald Lake, and enjoy lunch at a dog mushing camp. The tour price includes lunch, a visit to the dog mushing camp, interaction with puppies, a petting farm, and a wildlife museum!
- PASSPORTS REQUIRED, or Valid Passport Card, or other approved documents, please contact Canadian Customs for additional information on these documents
- Please NOTE ALL 8 a.m. tours depart from your dock. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of departure time. Don’t forget your Passports! 1030 Discovery Tour - departs from Yukon Heath’s Popcorn Emporium, located at 485 Broadway Avenue, Skagway, AK 99840 (see map below). Please plan to arrive at our office 30 minutes early.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Two different lunches are available, either Chicken or Vegetarian, your tour guide/professional driver will inquire of your choice before tour departs
- US and Canadian Citizens: Must bring a government issued photo ID and proof of citizenship (US birth certificate or naturalization certificate) or a passport for re-entry to the United States. Children, ages 18 and under only require a birth certificate
- Non-US Citizens: Either a Passport, I-94, Multiple Entry Visa or Resident Alien Card is required for re-entry to the United States
- Operates in all weather conditions. Weather can vary greatly from one location to another, please dress in layers
- Specific tour stops can be modified based on road conditions and weather.

Meeting points are at our office located inside Yukon Heath's Popcorn Emporium at 216 Broadway, a 10-20 minute walk from the docks. Please check in at our office at least 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time with your PASSPORT which are required for all of our tours.

The Noble couple from UK - Raymond our tour guide was amazing, stopped at all the right places and explained every step of the way. The most amazing views. Highly recommend is you are going to Alaska. 6 hours that went way to quickly

The driver was very aware... - The driver was very aware of sightings along the drive. We were able to see mountain goats, grizzly bear, and eagle nest with 2 baby eagles. Also the new turnaround of the train. The food was delicious. Sorry the sled dogs were worn out with too many earlier viewers.

Terrific tour and guide! - Scott was a terrific guide! We loved all the many stops to take photos of waterfalls, gorgeous lakes, and other picturesque scenes. Scott’s knowledge was great and his friendly personality… a plus!

Great tour with a fun group - The chances of spotting wildlife always vary but we saw 3 black bears 2 bald eagle young kings and about a dozen mountain goats.
The scenery is spectacular.
I was expecting to be disappoint d at the stop at Carcross but the food was good and the taxidermy display is worth seeing. Oh - and cute husky puppies!
A good tour guide makes a difference - Kenton was witty, knowledgeable and kept us laughing almost the entire way.

Raymond was a great... - Raymond was a great driver. He made it interesting. Saw a momma bear and 3 cubs, that were along the roadway. He pulled over and the bear walked with cubs less than 5 feet from the bus.

Alaska to Canada - I thought we were going to see a bit more with the dogs. Guide was good. The weather was very foggy and limited visibility at times.
