Glacier Climb with Icelandic Mountain Guides - We did the glacier hike/climb tour with Brook and had an incredible time! Brook was super friendly and very knowledgeable and gave us the perfect climbing experience! He catered the entire tour to us 3 and we got a lot of exposure to plenty of different aspects of ice climbing on a glacier. He also went the extra mile and explained to us how different pieces of equipment work, how anchors are set up, and how to maximize safety on the glacier. Two thumbs up for Brook, would absolutely recommend both Brook and Icelandic Mountain Guides. This was my second time using this guide outfit and I would gladly do a third trip with them!

Fantastic experience - This tour had just been fantastic! Our guide Lucian seemed to be born on that glacier, that’s how experienced he was. He was very patient with us, took his time to help us out with the gear and made sure that everyone got down from Vatnajökull safely in the end. This had been one of the best experiences I made in Iceland so far and I highly recommend it!

Amazing glacier hike! - This adventure glacier hike at Skaftafell was such a highlight of our trip to Iceland! We weren’t sure what to expect and absolutely loved hiking the glacier which was like nothing we’ve ever seen before. Our guide Cami was so engaging and fun. She kept finding such cool features on the glacier for us to explore. Absolutely recommend this tour! It is not to be missed!

A very unique and enjoyable activity on our Iceland trip - My wife and I did an Iceland trip earlier this month and this activity was one of our highlights. Our tour guide, Kari, was funny very knowledgeable, patient, and shared some cool stories. All around a great tour guide. The hiking experience was very cool and unique. They explain the basics of walking/hiking with crampons and take you pretty far up the glacier tongue, showing you some cool things in the process. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a unique and fun experience

Amazing Glacier Hike with Gem of a Guide - My wife and I weren’t sure what to expect on this hike - and I was somewhat concerned that 5 hours may be too long (and even potentially boring) - but we were surprised in the best way, and “boring” never entered the conversation. The hike itself is a stunner: the glacier is otherworldly, and feels like a science fiction movie set. And the grandiosity and eternal sense evoked by the location is unique. Hiking with crampons and ice axes made us feel badass (and safe!). But what transformed this from a wonderful and memorable tour into an all-time tour was our guide, Kári. You travel long enough, every once in a great while you’re blessed with someone like Kári: gregarious (without being too much), informative (without being pedantic), and solicitous (without embarrassing anyone). We felt like we were on a high-stakes adventure while always knowing we were absolutely safe. Funny, intelligent, inquisitive and - above all - clearly skilled as a climber/guide. Instilled confidence and fun. Just a total pleasure.
